Two little secrets for you tonight (if anyone is online to see this)!

The first two photos are probably my favorites in this entire gallery. And if these kids had done exactly what I asked them to do, those two photos may never have happened. There is so much sweetness in their chaos and I love that their little personalities, and that sibling love shines through so strongly.

And the second secret, sometimes when the colors in the landscape are as beautiful as they are here, it can feel like a sin to make a black and white copy of an image. But when you look at the first photo, you see big sister's hand on her brother's cheek, and that sweet loving expression on her face. You see brother's smile, and his obvious comfort laying in her lap. You aren't distracted by the colors in the leaves, or their clothes. The black and white copy leaves you with just the emotion in the moment and I love it 💛

Another little cutie who smiled a the most perfect time with his family.

Family and sibling pictures are always included with your newborn session, because I feel like these images are too important to skip. Just imagine this baby boy growing up and being able look back on this first image of him with his family, and knowing how much he was loved right from the start.

This family's session was the last of 8 sessions in one weekend due to some rain rescheduling. You might think I'd be exhausted by the last of 8 sessions, but it's the complete opposite. I get so much energy from these sessions! This was a new family for me too, and the boys were an absolute blast to photograph

These two had me and their parents running all over the field while they laughed (probably at us!), and we ended up with the most fun and playful images because of it!

I love the energy of little kids. Things never go quite as you plan, but it always seems to end up just as it should.

If you're worried your kids might not behave perfectly for family photos, don't! You're right of course. They probably won't. But I'm ready them, and I'll have so much fun turning the chaos into beautiful images so that you'll never forget just how magical those crazy little moments could be 💛
