“YOU LOOK LIKE A FAIRY. CAN I PHOTOGRAPH YOU?” 🧚‍♀️😂

That was essentially my pitch to a complete stranger at Fairy Fest.

I had never met her before, but the second I saw her, I had an entire redwood photoshoot playing out in my head.

So I took a deep breath, walked over, introduced myself and asked.

And she said YES!!

A few weeks later, we met in the redwoods and created this dreamy little world together.

I think this might be my favorite reminder that creativity sometimes requires a little courage—and occasionally asking a complete stranger to be your fairy. 😂✨🌿

A STORYBOOK WEDDING IN THE REDWOODS ✨🌲

Josh & Kaila’s Kneeland, California private backyard wedding felt like something out of a storybook—intimate, wildly romantic, and completely their own.

She wore a brilliant red fitted dress. They exchanged vows beneath the towering redwood trees, then crowned themselves in flowers after the ceremony. Every garden flower seemed to be at its absolute peak, surrounding the day in the most beautiful abundance.

And while most brides pray for sunshine, Kaila and Josh were gifted something even more whimsical: soft fog drifting through the redwoods, turning the whole afternoon into something ethereal and almost dreamlike.

Then came the glitter. ✨ As tradition demands, the aunts proceeded to bedazzle the guests—including myself—with glitter spray and stickers. 😂 A highlight of the day for me!

Guests brought their camping tents to stay the night, the live band turned the evening into a full-blown celebration, and the entire day was overflowing with the kind of genuine joy you can’t manufacture.
