The Nest Above.
And coming very soon… Brunch Above.

Four spaces, one family, and one shared commitment to really damn good food, thoughtful hospitality and this mountain community we’re lucky enough to call home.

We’ve been building something special for years.

Now, we get to show you what’s next.

Welcome to the next chapter of the Bird Family. 🤍

Things are looking up.

Something new is taking shape at Bird’s Nest. We’ve been working behind the scenes on what’s next, and we’re almost ready to let you in on it.

Same nest. New perspective.

Something is hatching.

some weddings just have a way of filling your cup.

from the quiet moments before the ceremony to one of the most joyful dance floors i’ve seen in a long time, every part of olivia & jack’s day was full of genuine happiness. you could feel how deeply these two are loved, and it was such an honor to document the beginning of their marriage.

camp st. malo chapel provided the most beautiful place to say “i do,” and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect colorado evening to celebrate at taharaa mountain lodge. the mountain views, the laughter, the tears, and the nonstop dancing made this one a day i’ll be thinking about for a long time.

congratulations, olivia & jack. thank you for trusting me to tell your story.

Some weddings leave you smiling long after they’re over… this was one of them.

From our sunrise engagement session at Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, to their adventurous bridal session, to our iconic 7-Eleven stop, and finally celebrating alongside their favorite people this past weekend, getting to document Matt & Kate’s story has been such a joy.

Their wedding was exactly who they are—full of life, color, laughter, and so much love. Every part of the day felt genuine, joyful, and completely true to them. It was one of those celebrations where everyone was fully present, the dance floor never slowed down, and I found myself smiling behind the camera all day long.

I walked away with a full memory card, sore feet, and the biggest smile. Thank you two for trusting me with such an incredible chapter of your story. 🤍

I’ve been sitting on these photos for over a month, and I am SO excited I can finally share them.

The groom wanted to keep her dress a complete surprise, so we met at 4:30 AM, strapped on our headlamps, and started hiking into Rocky Mountain National Park before sunrise. She hiked carrying her wedding dress, he led the way without ever looking back, and every single pose was intentionally created to keep the dress hidden from him.

It was such a fun challenge, and somehow made the morning feel even more magical.

Yesterday, I photographed their wedding, which means these sunrise bridals are finally no longer a secret.

I love couples like this. The ones who say yes to the 4:30 AM alarm. The ones who trust me when I say, “It’ll be worth it.” The ones who aren’t afraid of a little adventure to create something unforgettable.

These are the moments I’ll never get over.

I am so incredibly proud of these images and so grateful for couples who are willing to go for it. Adventures, mountains, sunrises, wedding dresses, and love… it doesn’t get much better than this.

She said yes… and had absolutely no idea her entire family was hiding just out of sight, waiting for the perfect moment. 🥹

One of my favorite parts of this proposal was watching the surprise continue long after Ryan got down on one knee. Seeing Cayla turn around and realize all of her favorite people had been there the whole time made the moment even more unforgettable.

We wrapped up the weekend with a beautiful engagement session, soaking in all the joy, excitement, and just-engaged glow.

Congratulations, Cayla & Ryan! Wishing you both a lifetime of adventures together. 🤍 caylacollins_

some moments are worth every 4:00 a.m. alarm.

weeks of planning. hiking in before sunrise. waiting in black on the rocks, hoping she’d never notice me. then the alpenglow lit up hallett peak, he dropped to one knee, and she said yes.

she cried. i cried a little too.

these are the moments i dreamed about photographing long before i ever picked up a camera professionally. getting to witness the start of someone’s forever in a place as magical as dream lake will never get old.

this one will stay with me for a long, long time. 🤍
