I have not checked my cameras for a bit recently, but now have them charged up again and ready. Looking at the memory cards I saw a couple of new animals that I haven't had at these locations in the past. One is a gray fox and the other is a raccoon. While raccoons are common, this is the first time I have seen one. Perhaps due to all the predators that frequent the area.

I had a good number of mountain lion photos captured by my DSLR camera trap within a 3 day period. They take a rapid sequence of photos when activated. I added a clip if a 4 photo sequence as well as some other photos.

After checking my trail cameras I was excited to see a couple new of animals I haven't seen before. These animals all passed by within a little over 2 weeks. I finally captured my first fox! I haven't seen any due to disease that killed many off a few years ago, hopefully I will continue to see more. I also captured what I believe is a Pine Marten (a little blurry due to his speed and daylight), as well as a couple Bobcats a Mountain Lion perched on a rock.

Taken with Nikon cameras using Camtraption and Cognisys infrared sensors and speedlite flashes.

Here are some new photos of two different bobcats that passed by my DSLR trail cameras. I'm always amazed at how many different bobcats pass through the same location. The one bobcat is marking it's location and it's not long after that another will stop and do the same. Other species will also check out and mark the same location.
Taken with Nikon cameras, SB-28 speedlites, and Camtraptions and Cognisys triggers.

Here are a few recent photos from my DSLR trail cameras. It looks like the bears are still active. A bobcat at sunrise, mule deer buck, bear, skunk, and mountain lion. The pictures are from early to late November. All the trail cameras use Nikon DSLR cameras with remote flashes.

A bobcat, bear, and the backside of a bat. The late evening of the bobcat shots helped with the background and made for better photos. Not being in control of what or when something will pass the camera makes it nice when something works out. It always cool when it captures something random flying past. Maybe next time he will be facing the other direction.
