Like horseback riding through the snowy mountains… in May. :)

The best photos happen when you’re not just staring at the camera, but sharing in a fun experience together.

And honestly, the same goes for your wedding.

The more your day is built around things that feel like you, the more meaningful and authentic your photos will be.

PSA: Rocky Mountain National Park wedding permits are officially available through June 2027!

May-September dates are often the first to disappear, so if you’re looking to get married in the national park, now is a great time to start thinking about dates and locations.

When you think you’re just taking cute couple couples photos in Rocky Mountain National Park with your partner.. and then suddenly, you’re taking them with your fiancé instead.

What started as a casual couples session during their visit to RMNP turned into the sweetest surprise proposal in the middle of the mountains!!

And as if the day couldn’t get any better, two moose showed up shortly after!

It’s that Rocky Mountain magic at it again.

For part two of the sweet vow renewal at Lily Lake, we went to…..

Ed’s Cantina!

A local Estes Park restaurant (that actually caters weddings and hosts private events).

These two slipped into their usual booth and we captured some photos while the kids colored and the fajitas cooked.

I was so excited when they suggested possibly taking some photos at Ed’s after their vow renewal.

In case you didn’t know, it’s always a HECK YES from me if you want to incorporate unique ideas and activities into your wedding or session.

Back to where it all began at Lily Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park… 10 years later, to the day.

Vow renewals are already so meaningful, but there’s something extra special about renewing vows in front of your children.

Not only do they get to witness your love in the everyday moments, but they also get to see you intentionally pause and celebrate it.

The hugs. The laughter. The promises. This day was so incredibly sweet. And such a great reminder that marriage isn’t just a one time moment, it’s something you continue choosing over and over.

Oh, and GUESS what we didn’t after the ceremony?!

Just sent off some previews from last weekend’s wedding at 3M Curve in Rocky Mountain National Park!

This warm weather is very atypical for April here in the mountains, but we definitely took full advantage of it.

They wanted dreamy couples portraits, and I knew just the spot where the light hits just right. Plus, no one else was around… minus a few elk.

A little reminder that if you want to get married in RMNP in 2027, it’s a great time to start thinking about your wedding permit!

June through September dates “sell out” especially fast.
