👁️ Eyes alive — range, depth, presence. That’s what gets the callback.

🪞 Look like YOU — not a glamour shot. The real person who walks into that audition room.

🎭 Two headshots, two stories — theatrical (intense, dramatic) + commercial (warm, approachable smile). You need both.

👕 Keep it simple — solid colors, V-necks, 3-4 looks that show your range.

💄 Natural makeup only — they want your face, not a look. Men: light powder = game changer.

🔄 Stay current — new haircut? Different weight? Update your shots. Your photo needs to match the person who walks in.

Did you know casting directors spend just 3 seconds looking at your headshot before deciding whether to keep scrolling? ⏱️

That's it. 3 seconds to make an impression.

Here's what separates the headshots that get actors in the room from the ones that get passed over:

✅ Alive eyes — casting directors look at your eyes first. Range, depth, and presence matter more than a perfect pose.

✅ Authenticity — your headshot should look like you walked off the street and straight into the audition. Not a glamour shot. Not a fantasy version. YOU.

✅ Two types of headshots — theatrical (serious, dramatic roles) and commercial (warm, friendly, approachable). They tell completely different stories, and you need both.

✅ Simple wardrobe — solid colors, V-necks to draw the eye to your face, and 3-4 looks that reflect the range of roles you can play.

✅ Natural, polished makeup — they want to see your face. Men — a light powder to reduce shine makes a bigger difference than you'd think!
