This past Sunday, we had the chance to photograph a really amazing celebration.

It wasn’t just any ordinary bridal shower - it was a Filipino party disguised as a pre-wedding celebration…. IYKYK (I can say this as someone who married into a ginormous + colorful Filipino family 10 years ago)

And because nobody throws a party like a Filipino couple so dearly loved and supported by their family + friends… here are the pictures to prove it.

In celebration of and , it was an absolutely honor to document this event. Just hours of laughing and hugs, dancing to setlist, and a ton of games…. 10 different party games packed into a 4hr schedule. If you’ve never been to a Filipino party, you know they turn up the fun a few notches. Fun trivia, really unique custom “who has the groom / bride?” scratch off cards, a toilet paper gown competition, and various other really fun games.

But the most memorable event? Something we see often at wedding events — the anniversary dance. We’ve been photographing love for 18 years now, yet this is probably the first time we’ve met a couple married for 58 years and counting. Fifty eight years.

Of all the fun and games that day, hearing them share some simple words of wisdom with the couple was definitely one of the most memorable takeaways for me.

in celebration of the start of summer break, this is your reminder to savor the moments…

the quiet snuggles

the squeaky giggles

the increasingly rare sibling get-togethers

the “we can’t wait to meet you” moments

the “let’s see whose the fastest” competitions

and the “let’s lie down in the backyard and try not to get blinded by the sun and hope the photographer hurries it up” moments…

each and every one of these moments…. cherish and savor and embrace them, because time really flies.

Earlier this week, we had the chance to photograph a lovely engagement session at one of our favorite parks in all of NJ - Warinanco Park… and let us tell you, that place never gets old.

Tree lined paths, beautiful warm sunlight and a quaint little garden that is carefully manicured throughout the spring season. The best part? Have a great couple to hang out with and explore the park together.

We’re so grateful to Abby + Jex for taking time out a regular workday to walk around and make these photos happen.

Earlier today, we had the opportunity to celebrate and document the bridal shower of a really special bride. A few days back, we were so grateful to join Olivia + David for their wedding celebration down in southern New Jersey.

From the very start, we knew it would be an incredible day of celebrations. From their church ceremony filled with incredibly deep and solemn traditions that included a crowning ceremony, it was a wonderful reminder that we were here not simply to photograph a wedding but to be witnesses and encourage them in their new journey called marriage.

The rest of the day was spent at the one and only — a stunning venue with beautiful grounds, a refined choice for cocktail hour connoisseurs (shout out to the tomahawk and skirt steak guy), and a bridal party that knew how to make a grand entrance.

Most of all, thank you to the bride + groom for hosting a beautiful and unforgettable celebration. We were so honored to be a small part of it all.

A pocket of sunshine amidst a sea of blossoms.

This vision of an image has been on our minds for the better part of two years. This past week, thanks in part to our friends + family, we made that dream a reality.

The cloudy & rainy weather in the previous days made us all a little nervous that the blossoms wouldn’t hold towards the end of the week. After all, the peak of cherry blossoms was three weeks prior… we’re so grateful we had the chance to catch the tail end of the blossoms at this particular spot.

April 21, 2026 - after 4 weeks of constantly visiting this place, we are proud to say… finally these cherry blossoms are in bloom.

We’ve been doing this long enough to know that the cherry blossoms don’t all bloom at the same time - two weeks ago it was Branchbrook in Newark, and since then, the colors all around have exploded and faded in just a few short weeks.
