Maybe you’re not scared of the camera after all. 👉🏼
You’re actually just scared of what people will think of you.
Will your college friends think you’re cringe?
Are those shares on your recent post just your coworkers making fun of you?
Best of luck to your self esteem every time a family members asks how ‘your little business’ is going. 😅
Or you’re embarrassed about only getting a few likes on a post you spent hours on.
Everyone must be dissecting how much money you could actually make from this, right?!
And what if they’re right – what if the money doesn’t ever come?
You’ll convince yourself it’s actually just vain to get photos of yourself taken.
And nobody wants to hear your perspective anyways.. it was so silly to think they would.
And who would even want to see your boring, average life?
Maybe you’re freaked out about the camera adding 10 pounds onto your insecurities.
And you’re probably just not cut out for trying something new.
It’s better to just stay small. Tuck the dream back into a box shoved under your bed – it’s safer there.
But maybe it’s scariest to realize that the voice in your own head is sometimes the meanest one of them all.
And the people who genuinely love you, will support you no matter what. Strangers will cheer for you. Your dream clients are waiting for you.
The ones who judge were never your people in the first place, were they?
So would you look at that.. the camera isn’t so scary after all. It’s the fear of being seen that’s keeping you from showing up.
But what if being seen ends up being the best decision you could make for yourself?
And all the fears were only ever in your head. What then? 🤍
