Back from the beach and straight into a full day at the studio! ☀️📸

Today we’re hosting several photographers for mini sessions, plus a sweet 6-month milestone session that we’re sure will be full of smiles and special memories.

One of our favorite things about The Downtown Room is seeing how many different stories are told within these walls—from growing families and milestone moments to seasonal minis and creative projects.

We’re excited to have a full calendar today and can’t wait to see the beautiful galleries that come from it. ✨ Happy capturing y’all!

What a special week getting to celebrate the inaugural production of company and opening night of Love Letters right here in the studio!

There’s something so powerful about seeing theatre in an intimate setting. Without distance between the audience and performers, the story feels even more human…less like watching a play and more like being invited into the room with the actors as you follow two lives unfolding through years of letters, memories, missed moments, and all the things those pages carried them through. It felt personal, relatable, and beautifully vulnerable.

And for me, this one was extra meaningful. The director, Petra, is a personal friend and one of the very first directors I ever had the privilege of working with after we moved here nearly 20 years ago. Seeing her continue creating and now opening something of her own feels incredibly full-circle.

If you’re looking for something meaningful to do, go support local theatre and catch Love Letters—there’s a performance today at 2:30 PM and additional performances next weekend. I left feeling inspired and grateful for spaces that let stories be told this closely and honestly.

Congratulations to everyone involved on a beautiful opening! ✨
