I was so annoyed when I realized I'd forgotten the memory card for my camera tonight, because it meant trying to photograph the eclipse with my phone through the telescope instead.
But I think that forgetting it was just a little nudge.
Because struggling to line up my phone with that tiny eyepiece brought back a memory of my son from years ago — telling me how incredibly difficult it was for the first astronauts on the moon to align their equipment while we were trying to get it just right.
I hadn't thought about that conversation in years.
Maybe I was supposed to forget the memory card tonight.
Maybe I needed to remember something else instead. 🌙
