Ew! As an Enneagram 7, I have no interest in getting so vulnerable about what feels like failure, BUT I am also one who holds a lot of direct conversations, a lot of passion and zest, we’ll call it, and I’m an entrepreneur and business owner, and I’m always cheering on people who have leaned into big dreams, goals, and businesses. So today, I’m cheering you on, being a bit raw, and hoping that if you’re feeling in a similar spot, all of this encourages you. If you don’t, save it because one day, you will need a little nudge like this.

If I’m being honest, the letdowns, the failures, the parts that don’t go the way I want them to are important for growth, learning, stretching new or tired muscles. I know that. They fortify all the parts that are well and good AND call into sight reflection for adjusting the parts that don’t work as well.

Sometimes the stats say everything is excellent.
Sometimes, clients shift.
Sometimes the logical information doesn’t override the feelings we have wrapped up in our businesses!

Feel it.
Process it.
Chat about it with your trusted group of business friends (if you don’t have a community, build one or find one).
Take inventory of what needs to change...Is it systems, practice, product, team members, or simply perspective?
Make the adjustments.
REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE.

It’s a practice of consistency.

I’m not saying followers don’t matter. Or that going viral wouldn’t be nice.
But neither is the point...

The point is becoming the business people think of when they need what you do.

The photographer they recommend.

The builder whose work they recognize.

The restaurant they tell a friend to try.

The brand whose name comes up without prompting.

That kind of recognition is built through good work, consistent photography, thoughtful marketing, community, and showing up as the same business again and again.

100k people seeing you once is exciting.
The right people remembering you is valuable.
