As promised while I was yapping away, this is my 7 min formula for decreasing day to day overwhelm, in 9 simple steps…
SAVE THIS FOR WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE everyone you are doing the most but it still doesn’t feel like enough.
1. Take a min to breathe - yes - simple but necessary
2. Ask yourself what you want to feel that you are not feeling (i.e organized, capable, joyful… vs scattered, disempowered, disappointed)
3. Ask yourself what you need to shift
4. Then look at your schedule for the day - is there room for you to actually GIVE yourself that feeling?
5. Look at your “to do’s” for the day…do any of the to do’s help? Or add to your overwhelm?
6. Take another deep breath (yes, again!)
7. See what you can remove or change (it may just be a small thing) - this may be as simple as changing your expectations of yourself today/this week, it may be to unfollow/mute people who are triggering you, it may be that you actually need to add on something in the future to bring you more of your desired feelings (maybe Reiki, massage appt, or getting your nails done, whatever your thing is)
8. Take another deep breath (yes, AGAIN!)
Remember - Trust it’s safe to trust the timeline of your life, everything is unfolding at the perfect pace it needs to! EVEN if me saying that makes you want to flick me, it’s true.
You are doing way better than you were 6 months ago, a year ago, 5 years ago! Xoxo
