I’m officially opening up High School Graduate Sessions. I’ve been wanting to work more with the high school seniors for a while, and I’m so excited to finally make this a part of what I offer.

If you know me, you know I want every session to feel easy, fun, personal, and like YOU. I don’t want you worrying about whether you’re “good” at taking pictures. That’s my job 😉 Your job is to show up, be yourself, and let’s make some really good photos together.

Seniors, I can’t wait to meet you!

This season has truly been one for the books for me and my small business. I will go ahead and apologize for this long text but I feel something stirring within my soul that I wanna share. There have been many challenges, moments of reflection, and time to refine my craft and remember who and what I want this to be for myself and my community. Over my 23 years on this earth I, as many do, struggled to figure out what I like or what I’m good at. I wondered how I could make a difference or how could I be an encourager and get a chance to make meaningful relationships. This small business has become a way to do all of those things. When I work with people in my community it’s like a fire wakes up within me where I am excited to be someone’s hype man, I want to also see you succeed, I want to be apart of the big and small things in your life. I know this is what I’m meant to do in my life, and that’s not just taking photos, that’s being a friend, being an encourager.

All of the challenges, reflection and refinement has put me in a place where I recognize that what I’m doing aligns with who I am as a person. No year, day, or hour looks the same and I love it. It leaves room for creativity and growth. All summer I have been challenging myself and people around me to dig deeper, dream bigger and work hard to be the creative they want to showcase and I see myself as no different. When my community sees my work I want you to know the love and care that goes into it. I want my work to express joy and love, to embody the excitement of someone’s life and to capture each moment and make it its own.

I will continue to say that I wouldn’t be here without those who have stood behind me the entire journey, and those who have joined along for the ride more recently. You all continue to encourage me to get better and better everyday and I thank you for that.

Im just proud…
I’m proud of the community I’ve built.
I’m proud of the art I get to make and share.
I’m proud of the growth and the dreams that I’m trying to make reality.
And most of all I’m proud to let God be my guide in all of it.

It’s truly a privilege to say that I’ve gotten to work with ALYSSA OWENS in every stage of my photography journey. She was one of my first ever models, I did her undergraduate graduation photos and she is still always ready to come laugh with me and run around in a field.

This is what it’s all about, doing what you love with people you love or making new relationships. Doing something you love as a job can either be rewarding or take the joy out of it completely. For me it is the people I get to work with that make this special to me. I want to continue to always encourage my friends and peers to try new things, or ask your friends to be creative with you and just have some fun. You never know how far it can truly take you🤭
