There are a handful of things I find myself telling every bride before her wedding day. Theyāre little things, but they make the biggest difference on a wedding morning š¤

Every additional item takes a little more time to style and photograph. If weāre on a tight timeline, Iāll help you choose what will make the biggest impact so we still have plenty of time for candid moments.
Choose the room with the best natural light for putting on your dress, and ask someone to tidy it about 30 minutes beforehand. A clutter-free space makes a huge difference in your photos.
Comfortable feet will matter so much more than the one photo I take of your shoes! Wear them around the house beforehand, consider inserts if needed, and pack a comfy backup pair for later in the day.
If you plan to switch out your wedding shoes, choose a pair with a similar heel height, your dress is altered to a specific length, and a shorter heel can leave it dragging on the ground.
It saves time on the wedding morning and helps avoid delays with hair, makeup, and your timeline.
Iāll be photographing them up close, and a quick clean makes such a difference in detail photos.
Place your invitation suite, jewelry, perfume, heirlooms, vow books, and other keepsakes in one labeled box or tote so nothing gets missed.
If you have little ones getting ready with you, assign one person to be fully in charge of them during photos. This helps keep the morning calm and lets you be present without worrying about snacks, outfits, or where they ran off to.
