There’s something a little magical about getting married under hundred-foot redwoods, and this Waterfall Lodge ( Waterfall Lodge | Santa Cruz Redwood Weddings ) wedding proved it. Tucked into the Santa Cruz Mountains, this venue feels like a fairytale you get to walk into: towering trees, dappled light, and just enough whimsy to make every photo feel like a storybook page. 🥰✨

This couple ( Garrett Schori & Ashley Schori ) brought the energy all day long, kicking things off with a bubble exit straight out of their “I do” that had guests cheering as bubbles caught the light through the trees. And if we’re being honest? My favorite part of the day was Trout, their golden retriever, hanging out in his little bow tie and stealing scenes all day long. A wedding dog will get me every single time!! 🐶‼️

When a couple and their vendor team are truly in sync, every detail down to the smallest one becomes perfect. 🍅🤍

Jacob Camp & Cailley Camp loved the idea of an all red wedding, and their planner ( Caitlin McDonald Events | Wedding Planner ) and florist ( FridayFlowers by Rachelle Castaneda ) ran with it. Taking the palette on a full journey through the day. Heirloom tomatoes filled the fountain at cocktail hour, a nod to Jacob’s Italian heritage, before the reception deepened into rich, wine toned reds. A monochromatic story from start to finish.

Cailley then layered in her own details to enhance it even further. She chose Christian Louboutin heels for their red soles. She painted her nails a deep red. She hand painted the ceremony fans herself with their wedding logo in red. And she used wine corks from her grandfather’s own collection as place card holders, a quiet tribute to family.

The result was a wedding that felt completely cohesive, because everyone involved was telling the same story. 🫶🏻✨

They trusted me. They trusted the process. They went with the flow …and we created magic! 🤍

From Jacob Camp & Cailley Camp engagement session to their very last dance, this beautiful couple made every single step feel effortless. And that trust? It’s how magic happens!!

This is why I do what I do. Not just for the golden hour light or the couture gowns (though, yes, please 🤩). It’s for couples like this one who let me in, who showed up as exactly who they are, and who made every hour of this Villa Montalvo wedding feel effortless.

Villa Montalvo will always be one of my favorite Bay Area wedding venues to shoot. Those columns, that lawn, the way the light moves through the redwoods in the afternoon. But it’s the couple that makes a wedding unforgettable, and these two were the whole moment. 🥹🫶🏻✨

This is why I love Carmel…

White sandy beaches, stunning rock formations, and magical golden sunsets. It’s hands down one of my favorite spots on the Central Coast for engagement sessions. Jacob Camp & Cailley Bryan made the most of every second of it! We chased the light across the sand, climbed the rocks for that perfect crashing wave moment, and caught so many genuine, laughing into each other kisses along the way.

These two beautiful souls got married this past weekend and I’m dying to share some of my favorite moments!! While I work on their previews, here are some special moments from their beach engagement.
