Ani and Bri blended eastern and western ceremonies at the coastal venue Mavericks House and did not disappoint with the addition of both their fur and furless babies Nixon and Archibald… can you guess who the bald one is?! 🐱 From the stunning floral design by Julie Willi Martin to the seamless coordination by my friend Kelsey Alice Currier, Owner they say turned out beautifully and even the sun cooperated! Vivian and Grant had one of the most loving communities and friend/family inclusive ceremonies I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of documenting. It was truly beautiful watching so many friends participate in reminding them what’s important about a deep and committed, loving relationship… vulnerability, fun, respect to name a few. When I met Stef and Grace over zoom were clicked instantly as we sat all in our casual pretty much pj’s, hair in buns and glasses in place neatly ready for bed. They told me about how Grace’s family had been coming to Aptos for years and it held such a special place they wanted to get married there. I had no idea the day they finally would and we met in person two super models would should up! Stef laughed at me when I said this and explained she never really had even worn make up before!!! Spending the day with these two amazing women and their equally loving, smart and hilarious families was such an honor. Rachel and Jack chose to do their engagement session at , and honestly, I don’t think I could’ve dreamed up a more perfect spot for them if I tried.

They drank w**e, wandered through books, and spent the evening pretending I wasn’t third-wheeling their date night with also shooting BTS. 😂

I love sessions like this because there’s no pressure to perform or create some big moment. You just get to exist together in a space you genuinely love, and somehow those always end up being my favorite photos.

Bella thought they were just out exploring a new beach. She passed me and thinking we were just another couple taking each other’s photos. What she didn’t know was that Jordan had been planning this with me for months! He brought her all the way from out of state to these epic Santa Cruz cliffs on purpose, and that he was about to ask her to marry him. Her reaction said it all. Congrats you two. 🌊

Big Sur doesn’t do anything halfway. 🌿🌊
There was a soft rain falling all morning, the kind that settles into the cliffs and turns everything misty and moody and absolutely ethereal. Because that’s the thing about this coastline. It doesn’t need perfect skies to be magic. It just is.
But then, of course! right as the bride could be spotted through the trees at the ceremony, the clouds began to part. The light came pouring through and the rain magically slowed to a stop. By golden hour, Big Sur was putting on a show like only she can. 🌅
This one was particularly special because I honored to have associate shot this beautiful day for my incredibly talented friend 🖤 and I got to finally bring my son Kaden along to assist me!

Fall Creek is one of my personal favorite places to hike so when Kellie and Peter said the wanted to do their engagement there and I were super stoked to capture some of its magic. The thing I love is no matter how many times you have gone here different seasons and years bring so many different things to see. This time around the river was flowing perfectly for playing around with some slow shutter. definitely inspired my playful side again and I’m so happy with how these turned out. Thank you three for helping me cross the river with my cameras like a crazy woman to play around some more!
