Even though I’ve had the same ornaments for years, each time I unwrap them it’s like finding treasure 💕.

I love the first photograph the most, makes me feel like Harry was also captured 🐈‍⬛.

Finally retook my mom’s portraits 💕.

The roll of Kentmere Ilford Pan 400 turned out beautifully! Wish I could say the same about the roll of Kodak TX 400 🥲. I somehow messed that one up.

It’s been a busy week and I’m so happy to share the contact sheet and many darkroom selfies.

First time using this Arista paper, loved it.

My home darkroom is always changing.

I’m lucky to have this space and to constantly improve it.

This is the second darkroom I build and I just adore my little art studio.

For many years I didn’t have a darkroom and I doubted if I ever would again. I’m happy I kept holding on to that dream.

Even though I wanted to give up many times.

At one point it just seemed silly. I lived in a tiny studio and I had darkroom equipment buried in corners and getting covered year by year with more dust. Just a reminder of a dream that may never come to be.

I would find a darkroom tool/equipment at a garage sale or thrift store and even though I hated myself for trying once again, I would buy it and add it to the pile.

I know it’s not easy and at times not fun at all. But if your dream is to convert that bathroom into a darkroom, don’t give up.

A darkroom is your magical space. It doesn’t have to be perfect.

13 years ago I took my first self portraits on film.

Revisiting the first self portraits I took.
A time when film photography was new to me and I was greatly inspired by Francesca Woodman.

These self portraits are so out of focus but I still love them dearly.

Another night working on the first self-portraits I shot on film. These were taken back in 2012, shot on 35 mm.

I had not looked at these negatives in about a decade. I was 19 when I took them and still very new to this wonderful world of film photography.
