Bunny is here to tell you this wedding portrait is extra special because it’s my Mom and Dad!

My parents commissioned this painting of their classic wedding photo for their 45th wedding anniversary, (with some creative flair). I had quite a time with the photo because it didn’t have the most information since it was so grainy, so my brain kept trying to fill it in with what my parents looked like to me all these years, rather than young them. Oh yeah, and my mom wanted me to take out my dad’s mustache because she hated it 😂😂 But I am happy with how it turned out.

Christmas is coming up in less than 3 months, if you’re lookin for a meaningful gift that lasts forever…just sayin! 😜 Commissions are open! 💁🏼‍♀️

I know Im all about portraits, but I can do landscapes and houses now! Here’s the finished piece for a client in Michigan who wanted me to paint their lake house and I suggested adding him and his family in 💕 Only took me a cool 12 hours to complete this but I had so much fun doing it.

Reloading because that was FALSELY given a label as AI CONTENT by this app!!! I do not use AI part of my painting process and with such realistic things, I now take additional steps to even ensure my reference photos are not AI generated or edited, often taking them myself. F that. ProRaw photos apparently can get flagged for this so I will be turning that off on my phone.
Anyway, another work in progress for my art show October 24th! What would you name this one? Drop it in the comments.
Grab your spot to my next show and see me live paint

Some paintings I have to come back to when I encounter a challenge. I had to divert from my original strategy for tackling intricate tattoos and paint them as best as I could without a sketch or tracing. That was a challenge, but we got it done in time for Christmas! ❤️ Val Lynn
