Every time I come to Pasadena City Hall, I challenge myself to find a new composition. It’s easy to stick with the shots I know work, but I believe you grow as an artist when you push yourself beyond what’s comfortable and keep looking for new ways to tell a story, even when it doesn’t come easily.

I’m especially grateful when I have a quinceañera who’s excited, patient, and willing to help bring those creative ideas to life, just like this beautiful young lady. Familiar locations can still inspire something fresh if you’re willing to see them differently.

Starting this week with one of my favorite images I’ve taken this year, from an unforgettable quinceañera in Mexico.

Working in Mexico was a completely different experience. It challenged me in so many ways, but it was also one of the most rewarding events I’ve photographed this year. Every long day and every mile traveled was worth it.

A huge thank you to my amazing crew for all your hard work and support Myn fotografia and Two Eyes . It was a pleasure working with all of you. Coming home with beautiful images and seeing such a happy family is exactly why I love what I do.

I’ve photographed this staircase more times than I can count, but that’s one of the things I love most about photography. No matter how many times I return to the same location, every young lady brings her own personality, style, and energy, making it feel brand new every time.

I really enjoy shooting at the Arboretum, even though I don’t get there as often as I’d like. Every time I visit, it feels like stepping into a photographer’s candy store. The lush greenery, beautiful light, and endless variety of backdrops make it easy to create something unique around every corner.

For this portrait, the rich greens of the surroundings paired perfectly with her stunning gown, creating a scene that feels straight out of a fairytale. 📸✨
