As a photographer, I often feel like my job is to have all the answers. To know the concept. To know the story. To know the shot.
This session reminded me that sometimes my job is simply to create space.
Space for grief.
Space for healing.
Space for anger.
Space for beauty.
Space for someone to look at a part of their story they never asked for and decide what to do with it.
I’m incredibly grateful to Lauren for trusting me with this piece of her journey and for creating something alongside me that I don’t think either of us could have made alone.
