My love for photography started when I was about ten and my dad converted our laundry room into a dark room. We dug out some old negatives of my mom and her five siblings and spent the summer evenings cramped in that little laundry room making the images come to life.

I love portrait and family photography because of the ability for it to not just capture images, but memories. Those tiny newbor

n feet, the look exchanged between a newly engaged couple, the laughter shared between siblings. As time moves on, a photograph captures these moments and freezes them for days to come.

As a photographer, I would be honored to captures your memories.

It was such a joy to capture this family in their home as they welcomed twin baby girls! 💕💕

I am Natalie, the owner and one of the photographers at Aspen and Sage Photography. We service Idaho’s Treasure Valley and specialize in family, maternity and newborn photography.

My love for photography all started when I was ten years old and my dad converted our family laundry room into a dark room for developing black & white film. In addition to taking our own photographs around the yard, we dug out some old negatives of my mom and her five siblings and spent the summer evenings cramped in that little laundry room making the images come to life.

Although many years have passed since my time spent in pitch black, enlarging negatives on top of the washing machine, it is clear to me that this is when it all started. This is when I fell in love with photography and began to see it as a precious way to capture memories and look back in nostalgia of times past. It is when I began to love the process of creating images and presenting them to the people who will cherish them as memories. As time moves on, a photograph captures these moments and freezes them for years to come.

Ultimately, my work is only a reflection of the Master Artist and His handiwork, both in the beautiful landscapes I get to photograph, and in the beautiful people He created. This business is ultimately God’s business, and I am blessed to get to be a part of showing the beauty that He wants us to see in everything from a majestic sunset, to the sacrifice of a mother’s love.

I am a follower of Jesus, a wife and mother. Most of my days are spent raising and homeschooling my four wonderful kids ranging in age from a baby to 7, all while sneaking away a couple times a week to do photo shoot

Having my fourth baby boy has reminded me of something I somehow forget every single time...

No matter how many babies you’ve had, their first year still flies by.

One day I’m bringing him home from the hospital, and the next I’m realizing his newborn stretches are gone. His tiny features have already changed. Before I know it, those squishy thighs will slim down, he’ll be crawling everywhere, and then somehow we’ll be celebrating his first birthday.

It’s why I believe so strongly in documenting more than just the newborn stage.

If I could encourage every parent to capture these milestones, it would be:

🤍 Fresh 48 photos to remember those first hours together.
🤍 Newborn photos at home to preserve every tiny detail while they’re still so little.
🤍 A 6-month sitter session because those gummy smiles and chunky thighs deserve to be remembered forever.
🤍 A 9-month session when their personality is blooming and they’re discovering the world.
🤍 One-year photos to celebrate everything your family has experienced during that incredible first year.

As both a photographer and a mom, these aren’t just sessions on a calendar—they’re little time capsules.
Because when you’re in the middle of the sleepless nights and busy days, it feels like they’ll stay this little forever. Then one day you look back and realize those moments were gone long before you were ready.

I’m so thankful I for the photos I have of my own babies, especially now as I watch my fourth little boy grow far too quickly. They remind me that while I can’t slow time down, I can hold onto the memories that matter most. 🤍

And it is true, as a mom of four, I am no stranger to chaos, but I can attest to the fact that it is worth it. Booking a newborn shoot when it’s your second, third, fourth or even fifth baby can feel overwhelming, but adding a new member to the family and capturing your kids in this current season (even if it’s a little chaotic at times) is absolutely worth documenting.

Our photographers are not afraid of a little chaos, rather we lean into it and make it a part of capturing your story. And I promise there will be sweet moments too. The kind of quiet moments that make your mama heart melt and your ovaries screaming for more 😅

It’s the sandy baby feet for me 😍 This sweet milestone session was captured by one of our photographers Maddie!

Like this family, I remember finding out I would have a daughter after I had my two sons and the anticipation of dresses, hair bows and all things pink is so fun. This family is so sweet and with their two energetic twin boys, the session was lots of fun. I can already tell that they adore their baby sister and are going to be such good, protective big brothers.
