I was doing some thinking the other day and realized I had started to get away from the reasons WHY I do photography. I don't think I've ever shared that so I thought I would take a minute to share. Why do I do what I do?

• because everyone has a unique perspective and that deserves to be shared. I'm not always good with words but a picture can say 1,000 words. I've found that photography can tell stories that I wouldn't know how to tell with words. Photography is how I share my perspective and help you tell your story.

• because there is so much beauty in this world, in so many forms. Sometimes I get a glimpse of an ordinary thing that most people wouldn't even bat an eye at but it stops me in my tracks and I have to capture it. It could be as simple as a clock or a section of a street that shows character. Or it could be a magical moment during a session or wedding. I'm always on the lookout for those little glimpses because we all need to stop and appreciate the beauty in this world sometimes.

So, in order to get back to my roots and let myself see this as more than a job, all 1 hour sessions will be $50. I don't have a time limit on this right now because this is about making sure that you have the chance to tell your stories, share your perspectives, and see the beauty in your life.

There's a saying: do what you love and call it work. Well, I got too focused on "how do I make this worh?" and forgot about doing what I love. I was more focused on the money and that's not who I am as a person or as a photographer. So i'm going backwards a little bit to refocus on my passion for sharing beautiful moments with wonderful people.

I would love to have you along for the ride!

This is why I shoot in RAW format. The sky was blown out and SO white that it distracted from the bride and groom. RAW format writes more information into the photo than JPG. So a blown out sky is still salvagable when shot in RAW. No AI substitution needed!

Class of 2027! Who's ready for senior pictures?
I know school just got out so you're only thinking about the next 3 months of freedom. Let's get the photos done while you don't have classes or homework to worry about. My books are open for June, July and August. If you want to get them done and out of the way, let's pick a day and have some fun!

Every motherhood journey looks different. Each of these photos tells a different story of motherhood. First time moms, single moms, moms of children with hard diagnoses, working moms, breastfeeding moms... I could go on but i think you get the point.
To all the mothers out there, no matter what your journey has looked like: thank you for all the love, the sacrifice, and the hard work you give to those who rely on you. You do so much for the people you love and care for and it doesn't go unseen.

I just have to share more of these. I sent the gallery off yesterday and the bride LOVED them.
This couple was so fun to work with and were so sweet.
I know I've probably said it a million times but LOVE is my favorite thing to capture! No matter how old or young, new love or seasoned, I love sharing the beauty of a couple who ADORES each other!

This bride wasn't ready to put her dress in storage. So she reached out to relive some wedding day magic. This couple is so in love and they were so fun to work with. I absolutely LOVE capturing love.

God is so good!
Our 1 year old had a neurologist appointment this morning and it went better than we could have hoped. I won't go in to detail but basically the decision was to just wait and watch, since he's making progress towards his goals.
God isn't taking the struggle away right now but he's getting us through it one step at a time.
His appointments, and the rest of my family, have taken priority over my photography right now so for a little bit, i'll just be posting old stuff and re-edits when I have time. I'm not going away though! So follow along and message me to chat if you want photos.
