Asa Aarons Smith Photography I'm an experienced photojournalist who loves to shoot photos of all kinds. Many people may know me best for my work as a TV consumer reporter.

But photography is one of my life's passions. I've been shooting professionally since I was 16 -- long before I got into television. In 2010, I had a one man show at New York's Almanac Gallery. Founded by famed photographer Benedict J. Fernandez, the gallery supports traditional and contemporary photojournalism. Some of the images on this page were taken while I was producing and writing a TV docu

mentary on Poverty in America. I was pretty proud of the piece: it won a gold medal from the New York Festivals Awards as well as recognition for Investigative Reporting from the NYC chapter of National Association of Black Journalists.
