EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY — A CHANGE REGARDING CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Going forward, I will no longer publicly post identifiable photographs of babies or minor children from client sessions on my business page, website, or social media.
I love sharing my work, but the privacy and safety of the children trusted to me will always matter more than engagement, advertising, or building my portfolio.
With the rapid advancement of AI, photographs posted online can be taken without permission and manipulated in ways they were never intended to be—including the creation of inappropriate or exploitative AI-generated content. The fact that an innocent newborn portrait, family photo, or image of a child could potentially be used this way is enough for me to draw this boundary.
**This does not change the sessions I offer.** I will continue photographing babies, children, families, milestones, and events involving minors. Clients will receive their galleries as usual and are free to share their own photographs however they choose.
I simply will not use identifiable images of minors for my own public advertising, portfolio, or social media moving forward.
It is incredibly unfortunate that parents and photographers even have to consider this when sharing innocent photographs online. But as technology changes, I believe my responsibility to protect the people I photograph needs to evolve with it.
No amount of engagement, advertising, or portfolio exposure is worth unnecessarily putting a child’s privacy at risk.
If you have already given me permission to share images of your children and wish for me to take them down, please let me know. I have no issues doing so!
