I hope the photos we make together have a way of connecting you with why you started to begin with. Because as much as we all need marketing photos, there's something more happening in these shoots.

Someday your workspace will be different. What you create will have evolved. Your tools will have improved. Your perspective on it all will be new.

Ashley didn’t just show up hoping for great photos. Plenty of our work happened before I even picked up my camera.

Ashley is a local interior designer and this shoot was for her first set of brand photos for her website.

Before the shoot, I gave direction on what to wear & how to prepare her office - what to remove, what to keep, what would translate well on camera. Every bit of advice I gave was tailored to *her* dream client. It can be overwhelming making all those little decisions on your own so I like to take the guesswork out of it. I’m big on collaboration when creating marketing photos together, especially for those who work alone and/or are still nailing down their brand style.

By the time the shoot day arrived, we had time to play outside of our shot list and focused on Ashley’s portraits. The sunlit office had been refreshed for the perfect setting for her session!

Good photos aren’t made by simply booking a shoot. They’re made in everything leading up to it. This part matters more than people think. I’ve got space for one more branding session before summer if you’re ready for a fresh set.

Jenny’s work centers rituals & relationships around death and grief through the breath. We wanted the photos to portray trust, hope, serenity & connection. With the layered work that she does, I wanted to create a collection of photos that felt just has varied in emotion. You can see more in my post from last year too!
