Jane needed new website photos and I needed a good winter backdrop challenge. Who doesn’t love a good boulder, am I right? 🪨

Truly though, as a newly enthusiastic gardener, winter forces us to be patient for all the green lushness to take its rest. Even with the brown and grey hues of winter, it does grant the much needed space for unseen places to get their spotlight.

This is the most snow we’ve ever experienced here. It’s beautiful, sparkly, and as cold as it looks. ❄️

Well, maybe colder than it looks. My phone says it feels like -3 outside with possible windchills in the -20s.
Stay warm everyone. 🤍

The worst part of any impending doom is, Anticipation.

Ice, sleet, snow, rain and more ice. Then lots of wind and it drops to 5-8 degrees?
Yeah, my mind is like welp. We are here and it’s happening.

We gathered what we could on our “we can get through this” list.
Which was:
stocking up human food, dog food, cat food,
and wildlife food. (the cats and birds that live outside)
Getting an indoor heater that is safe for breathing.
Closing up all the holes and cracks in our s**t house, which you know we gave it our best shot.

Crossing our fingers we don’t lose power for too long, but hey, what can you do?

Even with the impending doom, we are going to make the best of it in our s**t house. So here’s a photo of a monarch in the backyard of our s**t house when it was hot outside.

Going to put my phone on the charger now, ttyl 🤍

Oh, and just so you know, I friggin love our s**t house.
K bye.

I was asked to stay behind the scenes to capture the natural moments of this intimate, soft, and beautiful ceremony.
People came from all over to witness these two get married after a decade of loving one another.
It was so special to see the scenes from afar. I feel like I not only got to capture lovely moments, but I actually got to watch and listen. Some of the things you all say to each other and the way you look at one another deepens my understanding of love.
I am so lucky to experience these things as often as I do.

Keep loving deeply.
