A couple autumns ago, I had the privilege of working alongside for a season. She’s so talented, passionate, and giving! I gained so much from our time together, including these headshots, which she was so kind to take of me! And now I’m finally getting around to sharing them🤠

I also wanted to share about my “why”, but I always find that I have so much to say about the reasons I have chosen photography and the ways in which it brings me life, that it’s probably too much for one caption. Instead, I’m going to dive into one facet at a time, starting with ✨celebration✨! Life is short, and I think we ought to celebrate it as often as we can! It’s so easy to get caught up in the day-to-day, the to-do-lists, and the stresses that come with being a human on this planet lol, but I know for myself it’s always so good for my soul to slow down and think about the joy in this moment of time.
Photographing your milestones is so fun for me because I get to celebrate all of the magic happening in your lives. I love that proposals, engagement sessions, elopements, weddings, maternity sessions, etc. are seasons of life set aside for focusing on love; they’re moments when you’re caught up in celebration and anticipation, and I think that’s so beautiful.
As a self-proclaimed life romanticizer (not a real word, but it serves my purpose haha), I think it’s not just these major events but the little moments that deserve to be celebrated and captured, like running through the rain (but stopping to kiss ofc), strolling through a garden, having a simple coffee date, sitting in the sunny spot by your favorite window in your home, etc.
Anyway, the sun came up today, there’s someone who loves you, and I think those are great reasons to celebrate. Thanks for listening to my ramblings🥲
