From Mum’s bump, to a BIG toddler personality!

Oh, my heart! One of my absolute favourite things about being a photographer is getting to watch little ones grow.

I first photographed this gorgeous family when Mum was pregnant with Tyla, then got to meet her as a tiny, seemingly fragile little newborn. And now look at her!

She’s grown into the funniest, sweetest, cheekiest (and sometimes wonderfully boisterous!) little toddler. 🥰

This family came up with the sweetest idea for her 1st birthday - an annual photo session every year until she turns 5!

Five years of watching her grow. Five years of capturing those little faces, changing personalities, cheeky smiles and all the little things that make her her.

Honestly, I LOVE this idea so much. ❤️

And can we just take a moment to appreciate how ridiculously sweet she is?! 😍

Okay, I have SO many beautiful family photos to share!

These were taken at Victoria Esplanade, one of my favourite places for family photos. I love that there are so many little hidden spots around the Esplanade, and somehow I’m always finding a new one!

Hi friends!

I thought I'd pop in with a little update from me here at Yvette Maree Photography.

It's been a little quiet on social media lately, but behind the scenes I've been keeping very busy! I've been photographing gorgeous babies and families, preparing for my very first understudy role in a musical theatre production (so exciting!), and supporting my family through some big life events, which has meant a few trips down to Christchurch. And the business doesn't stop yet!

First session coming up is Dad & His Darlings Sessions!

A few weeks ago I had the absolute pleasure of photographing so many beautiful mums and their children during my A Mother's Love sessions. Now it's Dad's turn!

These fun-filled sessions will be held on Saturday 15th (postponement dates Sun 16th and following weekend) These sessions are all about celebrating the special bond between dads and their kids.

We'll be down by the river, capturing genuine moments together. Think skimming stones, piggybacks, dancing with Dad, plenty of laughter, those classic crazy dad antics, balanced with the quiet cuddles, gentle moments, and genuine connection that make these relationships so special.

Boy keeping up with my social media and everything else is crazy. I honestly don't know how others do it!!!
I had the honour of photographing promo photos for an up coming show. RENT is being staged at The Globe by Six to Sixty. The first cast announcement photos have been released so now I can share them here too.
I am also in the show, my first proper go at musical theatre. It is so much fun but also time consuming! My husband (a familiar face in palmy theatre) and my middle son (way more experienced than me) are also in the show. In fact the handsome dude with the video camera is my son. :)
