When I thought about how to introduce myself to Palmerston North, I kept coming back to these photos of me and my beautiful friend Grace. What makes these photos powerful to me is that they’re about friendship, faith, joy, hope, presence, and connection — the things at the heart of who I am.

I’m Phoebe — the photographer behind Focus Fusion — and I’ve just moved to Palmerston North. I’m slowly finding my rhythm here… exploring photo spots, trying new cafés, and visiting a few local churches as I look for a community to settle into. I wonder if any of you have recommendations for me 👀

My photography style is warm, natural, and connection‑focused — the kind of ease you see in these photos.

And with the heart of these photos in mind — and with May being Brain Cancer Awareness Month — it feels right to gently share Grace’s Givealittle page. Spotted at Kula WILD in Fiji, where these beautiful but critically endangered turtles get a head start before hitting the big blue!

Did you know?
🐢 Kula has been heavily involved in the special and successful conservation of raising and releasing turtles for over 15 years
🐢 Hawksbill turtle's are reef superheroes, snacking on sponges that try to take over coral
🐢 Their shells are so beautiful, they've unfortunately been hunted for centuries
🐢 Mama turtles have a serious homing skill, coming back to the exact beach they hatched on, even after 20+ years swimming the seas
