Hi, I’m Kim.
Mum of three, based in Brightwater, Nelson.
Most days you’ll find me juggling school drop-offs, photographing beautiful families, filling my camera roll with far too many photos and videos of my own kids, or standing on the side of a motocross track.
I’ve always loved photographs, but it wasn’t until I experienced loss that I understood just how precious they are.
Not because life is perfect.
Because it isn’t.
The missing teeth.
The muddy gumboots.
The bedtime cuddles.
The ordinary Tuesday afternoon that somehow became the memories we miss the most.
Somewhere along the way, photography became more than just taking photos.
It became a way of holding onto the memories we love.
A way of remembering how life felt.
That’s what Rusty Acres Photography is built on.
