Yes these may have happened a few months ago now but we are still travelling and posts happen when I can.
We’ve been on the move — from the lush green hills of the Cameron Highlands, down to the buzz of Kuala Lumpur, where monkeys rule the temples and the Petronas Towers lit up our night!
From there, a surprise stop in Dubai for Hartley (hello Burj Khalifa! 😍), before landing in the UK to reconnect with family, explore Kat’s childhood camping spots, tackle seaside penny machines, and let Hartley master the London Underground 🚇
And now... we're gearing up for our European motorhome adventure, starting in the Netherlands 🇳🇱🚐
Check out the full journey on the blog — it’s been a whirlwind of architecture, culture, nostalgia, and lots of laughs 💙

📖 Read it here:

Dubai Stopover – A City of Superlatives After a long flight from Kuala Lumpur, we arrived in Dubai for a surprise stopover – planned especially for Hartley, who loves architecture and tall buildings. We made a quick trip into the city centre, where everything felt bigger, shinier, and more ex...

This was our fews days in Penang Malaysia. There is a lot to do there, more time was needed.

Our time in Penang, Malaysia, was an unforgettable mix of culture, adventure, good friends, and seriously good food. We kicked things off in style with a great apartment—modern, super comfortable, and best of all, it had an infinity pool that overlooked the city. It quickly became our go-to spot t...

Another post from our time in Malaysia - Perhentian Islands - highly recommend.

Our trip to the Perhentian Islands started with a wild ride—literally. After the kids hitched a fun lift on a motorbike trailer from the ticket office in Besut, we jumped into a long boat headed for the islands. But the ride was anything but smooth. The waves were big, the boat bounced hard, and w...

I am way behind on posts, we are currently 4 months into our trip and this is still only Malaysia. We are now travelling around the UK.
Here is another week of our time in Malaysia.

Kuantan – Jurantut to Taman Negara then beyond to Kota Bharu Jerantut: Quirky Stays & Café Surprises Our accommodation in Jerantut was… let’s just say, “basic.” No Wi-Fi, patchy air conditioning, and not much space to stretch out. But travel is all about the unexpected, and it didn’t ta...

3 months on the road, 2 of those in the camper— and we’re still rolling strong. Currently soaking up the limestone in Germany’s Frankenjura region 🪨🧗‍♂️ still need a boulder pad, we are currently using a piece of carpet.

Here’s my boy cranking on a lowball boulder problem, full of classic pocket pulling. Loving these moments and this family adventure. ❤️🌍

🚐 From Mersing to Kuantan: Beach Vibes, Monkeys & Unexpected Adventures 🐒🌴

We took a scenic bus ride up Malaysia’s east coast to Kuantan — from an unexpectedly sketchy “fancy” apartment by the sea to graffiti lanes, mysterious river “crocodiles,” an abandoned mega mall, and a monkey that tried to divide our family on a swing bridge 😂

Journey Along Malaysia’s East Coast: Mersing to Kuantan We caught a bus from Mersing and hugged the eastern coastline of Malaysia all the way to Kuantan — a scenic ride filled with palm plantations, glimpses of the South China Sea, and roadside surprises. Our accommodation turned out to be in a ...

So I am currently in Rakotzbrücke, which is South East Germany.
I tried to get a cool photo of the Devils Bridge today, only issue was google maps sent me to the far end of the lake which is the wrong end for the really cool images. Doh !! This will have to do today, will head to the correct spot tomorrow.

Was stoked when I was asked to tour and cover the South Island gigs. Now I am looking forward to being the touring photographer for the last leg of concerts, especially the Powerstation.
Hot on the heels of the release of their jaw-droppingly monstrous rendition of 70’s hard-kicking rock anthem ‘Barracuda’, Devilskin are now gearing up to reunite with their ardent fans across the country to perform a string of nationwide dates this May and June from Invercargill to Whangaparaoa!

Renowned for their phenomenal live shows, DEVILSKIN always bring their A-game musicianship, formidable energy, and compelling presence to the stage. This run of shows will undoubtedly maintain that tradition, featuring their solid arsenal of banging tour hits and some brand new material off their upcoming EP SURFACING, set for release on Friday 3 May.

Pulling out all the stops for this 12-date tour, DEVILSKIN have stacked the line-up for a killer evening of powerhouse rock with two very special guests on board for all shows: a surprising reformation of Auckland rock band featuring the wide-ranging and fearless vocals of dynamic indie-pop-punk singer Emma Dilemma, and the irrepressibly raucous energy of progressive Auckland rock duo Skinny Hobos.
