**Porsche 911 RSR-19 n.91: the last GTE-Pro win at Le Mans**
A 4.2-litre flat-six, the biggest engine Porsche has ever put in a factory 911 race car. Mid-rear mounted, prototype-level aero, and a sound you recognise at the 24 Hours of Le Mans long before the car comes into view.
In 2022 the Porsche 911 RSR n.91 of the Porsche GT Team, driven by Gianmaria Bruni, Richard Lietz and Frédéric Makowiecki, won the GTE-Pro class and set the distance record for a GTE car: 4,769 km in 24 hours.
It was the category’s final year. After years of pole positions and near-miss podiums, Bruni finally got the win he had been chasing. The perfect way to close an era of endurance racing.
This is one of the race cars I have photographed up close. If you love Porsche race cars, supercars and automotive photography, follow me: every week I share shots and stories from the track, the paddock and the most beautiful cars in Europe.
