🔱 Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga – Complete Darshan Experience | Maharashtra

Bhimashankar Temple is one of the 12 sacred Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, located amidst the beautiful Sahyadri hills in Pune district, Maharashtra. The temple is surrounded by dense forests and is also associated with the origin of the Bhima River.

🌧️ Bhimashankar During Monsoon

Monsoon is probably the most beautiful time to experience Bhimashankar. The entire region turns lush green, with heavy rainfall, thick fog, clouds and waterfalls making the journey absolutely scenic. However, the same season—especially weekends and Shravan—can bring extremely heavy crowds.

🙏 Important Darshan Information

During my visit, the main darshan window was 7 AM to 11 AM. There was a huge rush, and darshan could take several hours. Parking areas can also fill up quickly, so reaching early is highly recommended.
