COACHING on the beach!

Once a month I lead coaching sessions for students to learn a little bit about photography, and to practise something that possibly pushes them out of their comfort zone. Last month we photographed coldwater swimmers and on Cullercoats Beach. This month it was all about having a different perspective and trying to photograph our models through frames or their reflections through a mirror. We spent two hours on Tynemouth Longsands beach - if anyone was wondering what we were up to, now you know!

Massive thanks to Leigh-Ann and Noah, and to and her family for modelling for us today. By the end of the session it was pretty cold, but it was great fun and everyone went home smiling!

It’s been so very busy recently so my social media has taken a back seat!

Thanks to “Streets” Hurren and Jubb Accountants for hosting me today, and great to take a few headshots of the team.

My job to help people feel relaxed and authentic as possible in front of the camera - take your time and don’t rush. Enjoy the process!

Our lovely studio is in the Space building (226) - great to photograph it in the sunshine 😊📸

The Space rooms and hot desks can be hired by the hour, week or long term. Great to be right on the high street too, on Park View.

Yesterday we had our Rehersal for our "Harriott & Solomon Portrait Parlour" and it was exhausting but so much fun! Massive thank you to all our models, as well as I Love North Shields who are supporting us with this new venture, Justine Holdsworth Studio North East who is supplying all our baskets as props as they are as authentic as we are ever going to get, and The Salt Market Social team who've been so accommodating!

I cannot wait to share some of our PR shots by one of my favourite photographers Caroline Briggs 🖤 but for now, this is the sort of styling you will have at our 20 minute sessions during the I Love North Shields Vintage Market on Sunday 26th July, 10-4pm. You need to book your time slots, so either do that in advance or as soon as you get to the market. We'll dress and style you, then take your photo and print it off.
