Chin on hands pose

Those soft cheeks resting peacefully in the hands that are still so new to the world.

September 1st. ❤️

Wow… I feel quite emotional scheduling this post.

Month 9 of the year is upon us already. The evenings will start drawing in, the nights will get darker, and the beautiful summer weather we’ve been enjoying will come to an end.

September has felt like such a bittersweet month to me for a while now.

It’s a month of new beginnings — a new school year, fresh starts, new routines and new adventures. But it’s also a month that holds some very significant endings and memories for me.

September marks 7 years since my wonderful Granny passed away.

It’s also been 5 years since I last heard my Dad’s voice. Five years. 💔 And somehow, it still feels like yesterday. September should have been his birthday.

It’s also mine and hubby’s 16th wedding anniversary, and my Mum’s birthday.

So many emotions, memories and milestones all wrapped up in one month.

life is teaching me, it’s that you really don’t know what’s around the corner. Life can change in an instant, which is why I’m trying to appreciate everything life throws at me, the good, the bad and everything in between.

I live with the memory of those I miss in my heart and promise to lead a life that would make my Dad proud.

So, heres to September. May it be kind to us all.
