When I say I love my job… I really mean it.

On your day I’m not just your photographer. I’m your flower getter, dress fluffer, nan finder, confetti organiser, time checker, dog sitter and child minder ..

And I’m also your cheerleader, joker and friend.

When you feel relaxed with your photographer you almost forget why they are there! There’s no anxiety about having your photo taken, you can be authentically you and I can just capture it 🥰

This is why I insist doing a call with my couples before booking. I need to make sure we get along. I whilst I won’t deny it still feels painful when couples choose not to book me, I’d rather they didn’t, than not vibe with me on their day.

A guest tried to kill me!

So should I worry that seems to be a recurring event at a wedding 😂😂

Well, it is usually my own fault, as I’m usually trying to get an action shot of hoopla, co****le , football, but this time it was darts (let’s not tell my insurance company!)

So this couple had a fab idea of throwing a dart to help them choose the location for their honeymoon!
One thing you need to ensure…make sure your guests can throw. For two reasons, one their honeymoonis looking like it’s going to be in Russia, which currently isn’t the best option. Secondly, so they don’t try to kill anyone (best to place it against a wall. Oh and don’t stand behind it.

Later on in the day the guest apologised for trying to kill me, to be honest it was hilarious and I got a great video/photos!

4 new tyres, new brakes and a new MoT on my van ❤️

They’re not all the same…

I have been to a lot of weddings and one thing I’ve noticed is the support you get on your day is not the same at each venue.

For example; Lou and her husband don’t stop all day! When you’re eating they’re filling up water stations, tidying up, putting some elderflower in the woods for you to drink, topping up the toilet baskets with things they think you want, and checking in with vendors to make sure they’re ok. Lou even helped organise the confetti shot so I could have 10 minutes with the couple! Lou was still running around at 8:30 as I left!

Similarly, the lovely Amy in the video at , was on weather watch, helped organise the confetti, prompted the best man to do his duties and checked in with the DJ to make sure he was on his way. She carried the brides dress through the rain, ‘lit’ the candles, helped put the veil in and I didn’t see her take a break either.

Then you have the likes of the wonderful who will organise, and orchestrate everything… Set tables up, help with buttonholes, liaise with all the suppliers, doing the hard work so you don’t have to and can enjoy your day!

However, I’ve seen some ‘coordinators’ just open the door on the day never to be seen!

You don't have to have a Brides Maid, Maid of Honour or a Best Man... Some of my couples choose not to have any wedding party at all, but ive also seen... Bride's Mates, Best Women, Brides Man, Person of Honour, Groom's Friend. And flowers aren't just for Bride's Maids too. Ive also seen some fabulous flower men... It is your wedding, your story, so have the people there that matter
