STEPHANIE + IAN | RICHMOND

Once again, the forecast was looking pretty grim, with heavy thunderstorms and showers supposedly due pretty much all day, but thankfully the weather gods were on our side!

We managed to get all of the main parts of the day done in lovely weather, and the heavens only really opened once everyone was tucked up nice and cosy inside the tipi. Couldn’t have timed it much better!

Stephanie and Ian were such a lovely couple to spend the day with. They were both so positive from start to finish, went along with everything and took everything in their stride. Honestly, the perfect couple to photograph.

It was a really fun and enjoyable day and we loved being part of it.

It was also great to work with IV Videography for the first time. Hopefully it won’t be the last and we get to work together again soon!

Such a great day with Julie & Paul at Shotton Grange.

There were big threats of thunderstorms and rain throughout the day, but somehow we managed to avoid all of it, and even had some sunshine later on. Julie’s free sausages she received the day before, followed by being buried, must have done the job!
I had a great time with Julie & Paul and all of their family and friends.

A perfect day from start to finish.

SARAH + OLIVER | GRAND VILLA HEIGHTS

What a perfect day.

Insane weather at this incredible clifftop venue, with barely a breeze, it really couldn’t have been better. Ice cream, great music, gorgeous kids running around having the time of their lives, emotional speeches and so many little moments that all added up to one brilliant day.

It was an absolute pleasure to play my part in capturing it all.

And fantastic to work with Starkfilm Weddings again, who were there capturing everything on video. Always a pleasure working alongside them!

SOPHIE + SHAWN | WYLAM BREWERY

What a gorgeous day celebrating Sophie and Shawn at Wylam Brewery.

The weather was threatening to cause a few problems, but thankfully it stayed mostly kind to us, with the only rain arriving during the wedding breakfast. We definitely got lucky!

It was such a lovely day, full of emotion, plenty of laughter and loads of great moments. Their daughter was an absolute star throughout the day and definitely stole the show on more than one occasion.

I was also very well looked after by the mother of the bride, which was hugely appreciated!

A brilliant couple, a fantastic atmosphere and a really lovely wedding to be part of.

Congratulations Sophie and Shawn, and thank you for having me along.

Preview pics from yesterday's beautiful wedding.
The morning rain had everyone wondering what the day was going to bring, it was torrential for a period of time, but we stayed positive throughout and it paid off. Before long, the clouds cleared and we were treated to some gorgeous weather for rest of the day.

A brilliant day from start to finish with such a lovely couple and their family and friends and there was some memorable speeches thrown in for good measure.

What a pleasure it was to spend the day with these two. They are such a genuinely lovely couple. There was plenty of emotion throughout the day, making it one of those weddings that will stay with you for a long time.

Lucy's dad seeing her for the very first time was a special moment. His reaction said everything and it was one of those unforgettable moments that reminds you just how special a wedding day really is.

CHARLTON HALL | JOANNE + STEVEN

It was so good to be back at Charlton Hall. It's been a little while since I last photographed a wedding here, and I was blown away by how much the venue has evolved. The new spaces look absolutely incredible and make an already stunning venue even more special.

From the moment I arrived, Joanne and Steven made me feel so welcome. They are such a lovely couple and looked after me all day, which is always hugely appreciated. Their friends and family were just as warm and friendly, creating such a relaxed, happy atmosphere from start to finish. The kids were great fun too and really added to the day, keeping everyone smiling from morning until night.

It was also brilliant to catch up with a few familiar faces from previous weddings I've photographed over the years. Seeing past couples again always makes the day feel even more special.

Thank you so much for having me along to capture your wedding. It was a genuine pleasure to be part of such an amazing day.

SARAH + CHRIS | BEAMISH HALL

It's always nice to photograph a wedding close to home, and Sarah and Chris' day started with a lovely ceremony at St Mary Magdalene's Church in Seaham before everyone headed over to Beamish Hall.

Without doubt, one of the highlights had to be the Scooby Doo Mystery Machine transporting the wedding party to and from the church. Seeing it driving around the Seaham clifftops was definitely something you don't see every day.

Beamish Hall looked beautiful as always, and thankfully the weather stayed on our side. One of my favourite details was the incredible artwork on each of the reception tables, all hand-painted by the very talented bride herself.

OLIVIA + JAMIE | SHORTFLATT TOWER

My first time photographing a wedding at Shortflatt Tower and it certainly didn't disappoint.

The weather definitely tested our resolve during the morning, but everyone kept their spirits high and thankfully Olivia got the outdoor ceremony she'd had her heart set on. I'm so pleased she stuck with it because it was absolutely beautiful and well worth the wait.

By the afternoon the sun was shining, giving us the perfect opportunity to explore the stunning grounds for some relaxed couple portraits before everyone headed back to celebrate.

With a brilliant bunch of family and friends, plenty of laughter throughout the day and a packed dancefloor, it was the perfect way to round off an amazing wedding.

It was great to work with Abigail Grace Videography again on this one, always a fun day and full of energy when working with Abi :)

Congratulations once again to Olivia and Jamie. Thank you for trusting me to capture such a special day.

FERN + ALEX | RUNA FARM

Another wedding, another scorcher. Summer has certainly been showing off lately and Runa Farm looked absolutely incredible in the sunshine. On days like this, with the Mediterranean-style courtyard, the warm stone buildings and blue skies overhead, it genuinely feels more like a destination wedding than somewhere tucked away in the North East.

The ceremony got off to a great start with Luca stealing the show. Deciding the chimney recess was the ideal place to set up camp. Those are the moments that make a wedding so memorable and give the day so much personality.

From there it was just one of those weddings where everything seemed to fall into place. Beautiful weather, a stunning venue, lots of laughter and a great group of family and friends who made the whole day an absolute pleasure to be part of.

It was also great to work alongside UK Wedding Films for the first time. Hopefully it won't be the last!
