I've always been fascinated by historical sepia toned images but achieving them is not always as easy as it looks. Here's an attempt at a photograph with an "historical edge" taken just two days ago. Canon G7Xm2, processed with the latest version of ON1 Photo RAW 2026.

For those of you using ON1, I first processed the image using the basic tone tools and then applied the ON1 Minimalist M10 preset. This did a lot of the hard work. I then applied a filmic curve that I've built, overlaid a crumpled paper texture and finally an emulsion border. Of course back then the format would have been medium or large format but that's for another day.
