Diana Dunn Photography Celebrating real moments
For wild mothers and their wildings
Inspired by nature and slow living Hi, I’m Di, nice to have you here! UK.

I'm a professional, lifestyle photographer, mum of four based in Torbay, Devon. If you’re a plant loving, nature inspired, barefooted forest explorer with wildings you’ve come to the right place! I love to create honest photographs of real, intimate moments surrounded by natures beauty. I love movement, textures, details, with a dark and moody aesthetic. Give me gusts of wind, dramatic skies, gold

en light and a sprinkle of rain. I want to capture moments of nurturing, touch, skin, love and create pictures of strength, warmth and empowerment! I have been published in two of Rankin's books "Rankin2020" and "This is Britain" and my images were shown on his series Rankin's 2020 on Sky Arts. I graduated with a merit in 2018, in Film and Photography.

I'm sad to be writing this, and I'm still not 100% sure I'm doing the right thing as photography for me has always been my joy, my passion, and what I always gravitate towards. However, I feel that at this current time in my life, I am being pulled in all directions and not able to be completely there to give all my time and effort in any direction. Ultimately, it'll always be my family that takes priority.

I've loved every minute of this journey and feel that the last two years I have really grown not only in my artistry but also in educating myself on all the other parts of a photography business and myself.

I'm forever grateful to everyone who has supported me with words of encouragement, left a review, recommended me, educated me, and booked me!

Going into 2024 is already feeling very different, uncertain, and new, but I'm ready for the changes, learning new things, and seeing what's in store. Spending more time with my little ones whilst they're still little and being there to support my big girls whilst they still need me.

I wish you all the very best for the new year and the years to follow.
Thank you to my clients and also the amazing community of friends I have met on here.

Going into 2024 with fresh eyes and feeling much lighter.✨️🫶

Big love, Di 🤍

"Top Nine of 2023"

Not surprisingly, most are of my personal images. This year, I have been focusing more of my time on my family and working on myself.

It has been a hard year for me adjusting to having a new baby and my eldest moving out, but it's also been a year of listening to my intuition and allowing myself to slow down.

I have been behind the scenes doing workshops, reading books, and learning to be my truest self. This new knowledge has helped me to know what brings me joy and what I need to let go of. This year has been a personal journey of becoming a better version of myself. It has been rewarding, and I feel much lighter going into 2024.

Ending 2023 and my word of the year 'TRUTH'

What you see vs, what I see 🤍

There's something about the winter landscape that I love. I'm not sure if it's the simplicity of nature, the cooler tones, or finding beauty in the less obvious. Whatever it is I'm loving getting my camera out and creating in its starkness.

How about you? Would you consider a photo session in a field of dying sunflowers 🌻

Our little baldasauraus has teeth!

I'm starting to feel a little bit more festive now that the tree is up!
At home, they call me the grinch!

It's not that I hate Christmas. I love the giving of gifts, the family time, and the magic it brings to children, but we put so much pressure on ourselves to have everything perfect.

Each year, there's a new trend to add to the pressure like elf on the shelf, Christmas Eve boxes, matching jammies, and all of the Christmas events leading up to the big day.

But Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without something burning on the stove, someone having a few too many and falling asleep, figuring out what piece goes with what toy after the carnage of unwrapping presents and thinking of loved ones we've lost that can't be there.

How about you? What does Christmas mean to you? Are you a grinch or the Christmas fairy?

Here's to making our own traditions at Christmas and making the most of the time we have with our nearest and dearest.

Love Di 🤍

Sometimes motherhood looks like this, a 5 minute breather to compose yourself. And that's perfectly OK. Taking some time out to reevaluate the chaotic and challenging moments can be all you need to destress.

I'm not sure about you, but my kids have been really challenging lately. I'm pretty sure it's the excitement of Christmas coming, so you'll find me hiding at the bottom of the garden, with my camera in amongst the plants! 🍁

Dare to brave December?!

Throwback to this beach session taken one windy December.

If you love watching stormy seas and winds that blow away the cobwebs, maybe a winter session is for you.

Think snuggles in thick knits and running wildly in the wind.
Cute red button noses and warm drinks in little hands.

Like all sessions on location, these are weather dependent, and I will keep an eye on the forecast right up to the morning of the session. I will only cancel if it's torrential rain or gale force winds. If in the unlikely event I have to cancel, I will rearrange our session for the nearest possible date.

If you think you're brave enough, contact me via the link in my bio.

'Well, hello Friday!'

These are the November days that I love fresh mornings with the beautiful golden light of the sun. Feeling grateful.

Next year, I am going to put my effort into producing more work from the heart!
That means concentrating and dedicating my time to sessions that make my heart sing. By doing that, I'm not only creating beautiful art for my clients, but it'll be coming from a place of love and authenticity.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Di 🤍

Ps. Kudos to the still-life photographers out there. They are harder than they look!

November Folklore saying

"Ice in November brings mud in December"

November loves: Fresh, crisp mornings, beautiful sunlight, landscapes full of colour, warm, comforting meals and drinks, clothes that cuddle, sofa snuggles and movie nights, crackling fires, family time and slowing down.

I hope November is good to you.
