If you want family photos that are meaningful, my advice is to let your kids play!

Your photographer can still capture the “money” shot of you all looking at smiling if that is important to you but for the rest of your session I encourage you to play, let your small children run around, bring you things they find, throw them around and then hug them in a swing and you will cherish those images so so much more ☺️

A few of my favourites from the Hadley family extended session.

It’s not always possible to spend the amount of time we wish with our parents, siblings, nieces and nephews for so many reasons - not living in the same city, having a family of our own with small children or work commitments so booking in to have photos with your whole family is a great way to cherish the time you do get all together ☺️

Kids are just the biggest inspiration for living in the moment, I see it with my own son and in my work like this little boy just reminded me today not to be sad that summer is over but to get excited for windy walks along the beach 🌊🍃

If you could change one thing about your newborn photography experience what would it be? Couple of question prompts below, I would love to hear your personal experiences ☺️

Did you have a home or studio shoot and would you have changed that?

Did you like how you looked, do you wish you had done hair and make up pre shoot or were you happy with the more relaxed at home look?

Did you include all of the family in the shots, do you wish you had more of these or more newborn only images?

What images can I expect from my in home newborn session?

Simple posing of your newborn in there natural state, I am always more than happy to do some wrapped poses as well if you like that, swipe to see example.

You can also expect lots of images of your holding your baby and keeping them close for snuggles as well.
