I don’t believe in turning babies into characters or props. I believe in honouring who they are, as they are. You’ll hear me chatting to the babies (and Dave the Duck squeaking for attention), reassuring tired parents, and probably offering a biscuit or two. This isn’t just a photoshoot — it’s a warm, safe, happy experience that I hope you’ll never forget. ✨ A little availability update ✨

Well... things have got rather busy around here. 🥹❤️
After a lovely first week back, my diary is starting to fill up — and I wanted to give you a little heads-up on what's currently available.

SEPTEMBER
My availability is now limited, so if you've been thinking about booking a session, don't leave it too long!

OCTOBER
I have good weekday availability, which makes this a lovely month for family sessions, cake smashes, newborns and everything in between. 🤍

NOVEMBER
I'm down to just 2 non-Christmas-related spaces!
(And yes... the Christmas minis are already taking up plenty of my diary 🎄👀)

DECEMBER
There are still some spaces available, although these will be limited around the Christmas minis.

Whether you've been waiting for the right time to book your little one's first portraits, planning a family session, or simply thinking “we really should get some updated photos”...
Consider this your little nudge. 😉

🎒✨ ONE LAST CALL FOR BACK 2 SCHOOL! ✨🎒

The first of my Back 2 School Mini Sessions have been and honestly… THEY WERE AMAZING! 😍
So I couldn't let the last few spaces go without one final shout!
I've got JUST 4 SPACES LEFT THIS WEDNESDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER and then that's it for this year's Back 2 School minis! 📚✏️
There is something SO special about seeing them all dressed up in their shiny, brand-new uniforms, looking ridiculously grown up… while secretly still being your little baby. 🥹❤️
And can we talk about those first school uniforms?! 😭
The tiny shoes.
The crisp collars.
The perfectly brushed hair.
The "I'M A BIG KID NOW!" attitude. 😂
Whether they're starting school for the very first time or heading back for another year, these little portraits capture them exactly as they are right now, before the uniform gets covered in paint, lunch and playground mud! 😂
And because they're only 15 minutes, they're quick, relaxed and perfect for even the wriggliest little ones. 🙌

Hello again. 🤍

Well… after a little time away, I'm back.
And if you're new around here, I thought it was probably time I properly introduced myself.
I'm Tracie, the face behind Wild Ones Photography. 👋🏻
I'm a photographer, a mum, a lover of slightly wild ideas and someone who believes photographs should feel like you.
I photograph the tiny details, the big milestones, the beautiful chaos and all of those ordinary little moments that somehow become the ones we treasure most.
I love beautiful photographs, of course I do.
But I'm much more interested in real ones.
The giggles you weren't expecting.
The cuddles that weren't posed.
The muddy feet.
The crazy hair.
The tiny hands.
The big personalities.
The moments in between the moments.
Whether we're in my studio or out chasing the light somewhere beautiful, I want you to feel comfortable enough to just be yourselves.
No pressure to perform.
No expectation that your children will sit perfectly still.
And absolutely no requirement for everything to be polished and perfect.
Because your family isn't perfect.
And that's exactly why I want to photograph you.

Perfectly, imperfect. 🤍

I think sometimes when we think about family photographs, we imagine everyone looking at the camera.
Clean clothes.
Perfect hair.
Beautiful smiles.
Everyone behaving exactly as they're supposed to.

But that's not really what family looks like, is it?
Family is messy.
It's sandy feet and wet dresses.
Wind-blown hair and grass stains.
Running until you can't run anymore.
Jumping in puddles.
Getting completely soaked because "just one more time!" sounded like a good idea. 😂
It's laughter that you can't contain.
It's chaos.
It's children being wild and free and completely themselves.
But it's also the quieter moments.
A little hand being held.
A cuddle.
A child leaning into their mum or dad.
That little look between you when nobody else is watching.
It's the loud and the quiet.
The wild and the still.
The beautifully chaotic and the wonderfully calm.
And that's what I want for your family photographs.
I don't want you to come to me and feel like you have to be perfect.
I want you to be you.
Your wonderfully unpolished, slightly chaotic, completely beautiful selves.
Because years from now, I don't think you'll look back and wish you'd all stood a little straighter or kept your clothes a little cleaner.
You'll remember how they laughed.
How they ran.
How tiny their hands felt in yours.
How they threw themselves into the water.
How they looked at you.
How it felt to be together.
That's the beauty of location photography for me.
It's not about creating perfect moments.
It's about capturing the perfectly imperfect ones that were already yours.
So come as you are.
Bring the chaos.
Bring the cuddles.
Bring the muddy feet and the wet hair.

Sometimes you just need to pick up your camera for no reason. 🤍

Having to slow down so much because of my operation has given me something I didn't realise I needed, time to think.
Time to think about photography.
Not just the work. Not just the next session, the next gallery or the next thing I need to create for Wild Ones.
But photography for me.
And I've realised just how much I've missed it.
She'd just finished charging around the garden, playing and being her usual happy, scruffy self, and I looked at her and thought...
I need to photograph that.
Not for work.
Not for a client.
Not because I needed content.
Just because she's my dog, I saw something I loved, and I wanted to pick up my camera.

Before Wild Ones Photography, I spent so much time chasing landscapes, skies, light and little moments in the world around me. Photography was my hobby. My escape. Something I did purely because I loved it.

Somewhere along the way, photography became my job. And although I still love my work more than anything, and I feel incredibly lucky that something I love became my career, I've realised that I also need that little part of photography that belongs only to me.

The part where there is no brief.
No client.
No deadline.
No pressure to create something for anyone else.
Just me, my camera and something that caught my eye.
So maybe slowing down wasn't such a bad thing after all.

Here's to photographing for myself again.
To chasing light.
To chasing landscapes.
To photographing my own dog after she's finished causing chaos in the garden. 😂
And to remembering why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
No brief. No pressure. No purpose. Just photography. 🤍

I can't quite believe we're nearly there!

🎄✨ A little peek at Christmas at Wild Ones... ✨🎄

I have been SO excited to finally share a little glimpse of this year's Christmas setup with you. ❤️

I've been quietly working away behind the scenes, and I honestly think this might be one of my favourite Christmas setups yet.

It's cosy, warm, a little bit magical and full of all those lovely Christmas details I adore. ✨🎄

These are just a couple of little peeks for now because **Christmas Minis aren't quite ready to go on sale yet**... but I couldn't keep them to myself any longer! 😂
