Well, after what feels like months of waiting for it, the rain has finally arrived in the UK โ˜”๏ธ

So it felt like a good time to talk about something that comes up a lot with weddings...

๐—ช๐—ต๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ฝ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜€ ๐—ถ๐—ณ ๐—ถ๐˜ ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ถ๐—ป๐˜€?

Honestly, not much.

Your wedding still happens. Your guests still dance. You still get married. You still have an incredible day.

And from a photography point of view, rain can actually give you some pretty bloody lovely moments.

Some of my favourite wedding photos have involved rain, whether thatโ€™s running through it, hiding under an umbrella, getting caught in a downpour or simply embracing the fact that the weather has done whatever the hell it wanted.

You canโ€™t control the weather.

But you can control how much you let it affect your day ๐Ÿค

Imagine being married for 50 years and still looking at each other like this ๐Ÿค

Thatโ€™s Irene & Paul.

They recently renewed their vows at The Shropshire in Telford, surrounded by their family and friends, for the big celebration they never really had the chance to have the first time around.

And what a celebration it was!

But honestly, the thing that stood out most was these twoโ€ฆ That unmistakable chemistry that tells you everything you need to know about two people who have spent a lifetime together.

I even had the privilege of seeing their original wedding album from 50 years ago. Amazing!

The seventh hole also held a special meaning, as they took a photograph there in memory of their son.

A gorgeous 1800s mill. Lush flowers. A Porsche. Ridiculously delicious food. An amazing cake. And one hell of a band!

This was their wedding day and it began at The Coach House in Derby (stunning by the way!), before a short journey across to The River Mill, set within the historic Darley Abbey Mills complex alongside the River Derwent.

What a place!

Charlotte and Harry filled it with exactly the right people, atmosphere and amount of fun! Awesome people, an awesome day, and a wedding that just felt right for them.

Four years ago today, these two got married on one seriously hot day, surrounded by brilliant people, plenty of love, a fair amount of sweat and, thankfully, a lot of cold drinks.

Looking back through these photographs today, itโ€™s the people and the moments that stand out most.

It can be a little overwhelming, but itโ€™s also full of so much love, happiness and those little moments you probably donโ€™t even realise are happening.

And thatโ€™s exactly why I love photographing it โค๏ธ

A beautiful day in the heart of South Shropshire, celebrating Chloe and Ryan at the incredible Camlad Barns.

From incredible food and delicious ice cream in the sunshine, to live reggae music and live illustrator portraits throughout the day, everything came together perfectly.

Knowing how busy Ryan has been with boxing, and that Chloe somehow still found the time to bake their own wedding cake, Iโ€™m convinced she deserves a belt of her own ๐ŸฅŠ๐Ÿฅ‡

Mr and Mrs Black ๐Ÿ–ค

A registry office, a National Trust venue and two pubs?. On paper, it sounds simple, right? In realityโ€ฆ this was so ridiculously good!

The day began with bridal prep at stunning Mytton and Mermaid, before heading to the Registry Office in Chloeโ€™s dadโ€™s classic Triumph for a gorgeous little ceremony. From there, we headed to Sunncroft National Trust for the most incredible couple portraits, easily one of the nicest places Iโ€™ve photographed, before finishing the day at The C**k Hotel, a cracking pub. ๐Ÿป

The details were spot on too. Pops of colour, disco balls, and a 1899 conservatory that made my photographer brain very happy ๐Ÿ˜

But one thing that really stuck with me was Jordan.

Every time I looked over, he was grinning. Not because he had to. He just couldnโ€™t stop. And watching the two of them all day, it was obvious why.. Just two people having the best day with the people who matter most.

These are my favourite kinds of weddings โค๏ธ
