A truly enchanting day for these two beautiful souls on Tuesday.

From the beautiful handmade details lovingly created by Milly, to the little nods to Narnia and the world of literature that book-loving Niamh had woven throughout the day, every corner felt like it had been lifted straight from the pages of a storybook. And the wildflowers… oh, the wildflowers! 🌷💐🌷

For a little while, it felt as though we had stepped into a real-life English novel, the kind you never want to reach the final page of.

A beautiful English country wedding filled with dusky pinks, powder blues and the prettiest summer flowers, all grown and arranged by the groom’s mum… yesterday was our first time photographing a wedding at Old Down Estate and we are officially IN LOVE! What a beautiful setting for a wedding.

Dave Mercer and Helen Avery were genuinely the loveliest couple you could wish to spend the day with. They couldn’t stop smiling from start to finish, and their happiness was completely infectious.

We love how much choice you have here without ever needing to leave the venue. From an outdoor ceremony in the walled garden to portraits amongst the lavender and quiet moments overlooking the Devon countryside, there are beautiful photo opportunities at every turn.

We’re right in the middle of busy wedding season and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Weddings are being photographed, galleries are landing in inboxes, and future weddings are being planned behind the scenes. It’s that wonderfully busy part of the year where there never seems to be a quiet week!

Today, we’re catching our breath and taking a moment to appreciate the beautiful Deer Park Country House before another busy week of weddings begins. We look forward to returning to this stunning Devon wedding venue next Spring 🌿

A dream to photograph, completely themselves from start to finish, and surrounded by just the best group of people… & Billie-jo wedding was one of those days that reminds us exactly why we love what we do!
