Let's just do a little shout out and a bit of a personal post.
I suffer with many health issues, I have hypermobility and fibromyalgia. This means I'm in pain all the time just some days it's worse.
Long photography days are a huge struggle for me, as are long editing days. The worst are the autumn shoots. My lens is heavy and puts a lot of strain through my wrists, elbows and shoulders and I'm constantly up and squatting back down which does my hips and my SI joints in.
Editing affects my neck and ribs, I regularly subluxate my joints.
I'm also autistic, wedding days and long event days affect me mentally. I usually need a day or two to recover from this.
Both my kids are autistic and require a LOT of care from me which is why I am self employed in the first place.
Am I in the wrong job? Probably 🤣 but I love it.
So how do I keep going for the most part?
Deep Kneads Therapy the bestestest sports masseuse in the area. No messing about, I need my muscles taming regularly and I get TMD too. Amy puts the worlds to rights with me whilst sorting me out physically.
Woosah. Sadly somewhere I don't get to as often as I should but due to the high stress levels I endure I should get relaxing massages to try and keep the stress out of my body. When I find the time and the head space I book in here with Lisa. We put the world to rights with the most amazing aromatherapy, relaxing massage and cosy room. I float home from here!
Liz Taylor Personal Trainer. Liz adjusts my exercises and goals based on my availability and overall health. So supportive, doesn't make me feel like I'm slacking ever. We've worked out together recently and we just didn't stop laughing. I need to exercise to strengthen my joints and it's a massive mental health boost for me too.
Autism Parents Together - Tees Valley the team and parent/carers that keep me going with awesome advice and cheerleading 🥰
Those are the ladies that keep my business actually able to keep running. I'd be lost and most likely crying in bed without them!
