I have followed for a while and always thought I’d buy one of her amazing mirrors if I could ever decide on a quote.

However when I saw this clock pop up on her instagram I fell in love with it. My phone does not pick up the colours well enough. It’s so vibrant in real life and you can see it’s had painted and made by a real human being! It’s such a fun piece of art to own.

It’s also funny that my husband trained me up from being a very late person to a very on time person this phrase fits our family well. She has more clocks on her website, I’d have them all in every room in my house! 🕰️ ❤️

Keeping up with social media is always hard when things are busy on other aspects of my business.

I decided that I’d try to get back to blogging on my website where I own the content and can use it as part of my portfolios.

I have been working away on major website updates. This year I decided to bring all of my .studio work under my brand.
I thought I’d blog about my thoughts process of how my business has adapted to not only changing markets but also to suit my family life.

I've been growing tired of trying to keep up with social media, I decided to go back to how I started with blogging!

I have been working away on a new website design since the start of the year. I am pulling together my Mack Studio brand to all be in one place under Mack Photo.

I put my through process into a blog post that I wrote yesterday during the school in service day. I was chaperoning my eldest and his friends on their day out in Milport. I sat down to work on my marketing and social media which looks like has been very productive.

FEBRUARY ❤️
February is normally a quieter month for me so I’ve been putting my energy into lots and lots of website updates. It’s not all complete but starting to take shape and I’ve done some new pages if you fancy a sneak peek.

February was mega birthday month in our family so lots of cake cocktails and food. We’ve booked our summer trip to Orkney & Shetland in the summer. Let me know any of your recommendations. I’m now rewatching Shetland with my eldest in our basement movie room. We also kept our Friday office drinks going which has been elevated to Old Fashioned cocktails after I was gifted a lovely bottle of Tamnavulin from
Officially spring tomorrow. Longer days and flowers starting to bloom. This feels like the start of the New Year! 🌺

For the first time in a while I’m up to date with my editing. I’ve had a few exciting branding/ headshots to do with fast turn around for press releases which is always very exciting to do. I need to get back into the habit of sharing work but I’ve so much to post I never know what to start with 🤪

I decided in my quieter time to start sorting through my personal photos including the thousands of images I had saved from my old phones. I want to make it easier for my children to find the photos and videos of them over the years.

Scanning through them I found this photo of me from my friends Emma & Martin’s wedding at the City Chambers in Edinburgh. I was their photographer for part of the day and then guest after dinner. It was an amazing party and does not feel like it was over 10 years ago. I can’t quite remember who picked up my camera to take this it was either or and by my expression I’m asking for my camera back 🤣

Life recently has had a bit of a slower pace since Arnprior Farm Pumpkins has finished. Work wise it has been lots of family shoots, interior shoots to edit, client calls and arranging bookings for the last few weeks of the year.

Personally it’s been lovely to have some time off. I’ve been to fireworks displays, gardening, catching up on In2 The Wild Fitness gym sessions, a trip to Edinburgh, a stay at Monachyle Mhor Hotel, eating the last of the pumpkins, shopping for new huggies from , a trip to The Stand, saw Marren Morris and drank a few negronis.

After a brilliant summer doing phone photography workshops to construction industry folks, I am delighted to announce that I’m doing my first ‘Introduction to Phone Photography’ course. It’s open to anyone who would like to learn how to take better photographs on your phone.

It will be taking place on the 22nd November 11am - 1pm at the beautiful showroom on Bell Street in the Merchant City in Glasgow.

The workshop will start by going over key settings on your device to make the most of your mobile camera.

We will then take a tour around some of the Glasgow landmarks in the Merchant City. Learning how to use the available light to our advantage and understanding how to compose our shots to take interesting images of the city.

Then finishing up by returning to Il Salotto to learn some editing techniques to elevate our images using free apps that are available to download to your mobile device.
