🌞 MAY RECAP 🌞

What a month!

I photographed two absolutely gorgeous weddings and, once again, got reminded that somehow I seem to attract the most wonderful, quirky, colourful, do-things-their-own-way kind of couples. My people. ❤️

Alongside that, I squeezed in 4 headshot sessions and 2 family shoots, which means my camera has definitely earned a lie down.

I also photographed an Andro and Eve event and they’ve kept me on as their photographer for years now, so I must be doing something right. 😊

We escaped to Cornwall for some sea air, beach walks and the usual “shall we just move here?” conversations. 🌊

The band has been busy too with gigs, gigs and more gigs (and we’ve got another one this Friday if you fancy a boogie 👀🎸).

There were sunny dog walks, daily cat cuddles, nature adventures during the heatwave, lots of care work, and a lovely full-circle moment when my old photography lecturer from uni turned up as a guest at one of my weddings. Over a decade later, she told me she was proud of what I’ve built. Safe to say someone got a bit emotional. 🥹

Oh… and we had our tarot cards read.

Apparently good things are coming.

I’m choosing to believe them. ✨

Yesterday’s wedding with Ilona & Jason at Whirlow Brook Hall was an absolute scorcher 🌞

Heatwave wedding days can be chaotic but honestly… this one was magic. Gorgeous shady little spots round the park for photos, the most dreamy fairytale dress with rainbow colours (MY kinda vibe 🌈), unreal flowers from Bloom Sheffield and two people who fully trusted me to go colourful, fun and a bit feral with the camera 😂

These two first met me at a wedding fair because they loved my bright, bold style… and yesterday we went ALL in.

🍂 Throwback to Lizzy and Alister’s absolutely gorgeous autumn wedding! 🍂

These two got married at the beautiful Bishops’ House at the top of Meersbrook Park, with some of the best views in Sheffield and all those dreamy orange and yellow autumn colours… basically photographer heaven 😍🍁

The day had everything — hula hooping on the grass, family photos with that cracking view, a stroll down to the pub, and some lovely relaxed street shots along the way.

One of my favourite parts? We revisited the bench where they first met during COVID. Back then they had to keep their distance… this time they were sat there as newlyweds. How blooming lovely is that? 🧡

Autumn weddings just hit different, don’t they? 🍂✨

Throwing it back to Emily and Ben’s absolutely gorgeous day in Hebden Bridge, and honestly, if I didn’t love this place before, I definitely do now.

We spent the day wandering round all the iconic spots… the canal, the famous bridge, the cobbled streets, and those stunning rolling hills. Proper romantic stuff. 😍

But this wedding was a game of two halves! These two also booked me a few weeks later to photograph their big Sheffield party… and let me tell you, it was absolute carnage in the best possible way. 💃🕺🍻 Scroll to the end for some proper dance floor chaos, I was right in the thick of it as usual!

Just a little reminder that I don’t only photograph weddings in Sheffield , I’ll travel wherever your love story takes me. 🚗❤️

And another reminder… staying for the dance floor photos is ALWAYS worth it. Some of the funniest, wildest and most unforgettable in moments happen when the ties come off and the shoes get kicked under the table.

As it comes to the end of Le***an Visibility Week (I think I’ve just about made it in time 😅), I wanted to share just a tiny slice of the amazing couples I’ve had the honour of photographing.

I could’ve filled this grid 10 times over… but Instagram says 20 so here we are 🙃

And here’s the thing — I’m not just someone photographing LGBTQ+ weddings…
I’m one of you.

I get it. The nerves, the excitement, the “will we feel comfortable?” question in the back of your mind.

That’s why when you’re in front of my camera, you can just relax, be yourselves, have a reyt good laugh… and end up with photos that actually feel like you.

I’ve been doing this since the early days when legislation changed — and I’ve built my whole business around making q***r couples feel seen, safe, and celebrated.
