Joe and me go back a while when I was shooting on the local music scene in Sheffield and I would regularly photograph his band who’d have though many moons later I’d be called in to cover his wedding (in which the very same band were his best men!).

I’d like to get serious here for a minute. With all the stuff going on in Middlesbrough and the A66 crash that cost the lives of 2 police officers and 5 young lads it’s easy to assume how misguided and downright stupid the lads driving in the wrong direction were (my opinions regarding them are not in a positive manner so I’ll hold my tongue here so to be as professional as I can), and that their parents didn’t do enough to raise them or find an outlet for them. (I’m not a parent myself here okay and I admit this might be opinionated on my part here however let’s go to the next point )

Whilst thoughts lie with the 2 police officers and their families I’d like to take the opportunity here to point out the work done by Savage Martial Arts - Hillsborough/Wisewood/Walkley - Sheffield here. I’m only present for the grading sessions in Sheffield but I see the instructors working with the kids helping them develop in a positive manner and the parents who come to these grading sessions to support their children and the work SMA does. seeing how much of a good impact that Casey Bond-Hargreaves and his team have on these families (giving the students motivation to be the best versions of themselves and to develop positively both mentally and physically) is a boost to morale and brings together a community .

There’s always something good for young kids out there as an outlet (exercise really does wonders for all ages believe me) and it can really help out here for the best for the long run. Proud to be working with with SMA here.

I’ve been wrapping up a couple of recent wedding shoots so whilst I put in the finishing touches get ready for the wedding of Freddie and Deva (aka the Fredeva wedding) shot earlier in the summer. Arranged at the last minute but we pulled it off.
