Redstart. Always love capturing an image of a species I have never seen before. This one crossed my path on a walk in the Peak District at the Longshaw Estate. I only had a very short encounter so this was the best I got 🤣

How can you not love a Mallard duckling. I love this time of year when we have ducklings, goslings and cygnets all taking their first wobbly steps into the world. Such a treat to observe on those beautiful peaceful mornings.

Little Owl at RSPB St Aidans. My first time seeing and photographing a Little Owl. It’s such a great place to visit and a big place to get around, so if you have not been before make time for a visit. On this visit I joined a photography meet up organised by was a great day I. The baking sun which I am now suffering with due to forgetting the sun cream 🤣
Also it was great to meet everyone who attended.

The dipper—one of my favorite birds to photograph. It’s not just about the bird itself, but the whole experience that comes with it—the constant rush of the river, the cool air, and the sense of calm that settles in as you wait and watch. There’s something special about seeing such a small bird thrive in fast-moving water, completely at ease in a place that feels so powerful.

This moment was captured in the Peak District, a place that never disappoints when it comes to raw, natural beauty. Standing by the river, listening to the water flow while keeping an eye out for that familiar movement along the rocks—it’s these quiet, immersive moments that make photographing wildlife so rewarding.

We all love Robins don’t we. Must be one of the friendliest birds. Saw this inquisitive one whilst out walking on the Peak District last month. Quite a high ISO image but turned out pretty nice.
