One of the most common questions I’m asked before a booking is:
“Is my home suitable for a photo session?”
The short answer is yes, absolutely.
Whether you live in a small flat, a busy family home, or a house that feels permanently “lived in”, your home is suitable for a professional photo session. No room is to small.
I Bring the Studio to You
I don’t rely on perfect interiors or magazine-ready spaces. I bring my portable studio setup, which includes:
Professional lighting
Backgrounds and Backdrops
Everything needed to create clean, timeless portraits
This means your photos don’t depend on the size of your rooms, the amount of natural light, or how your home is decorated.
Your living room, bedroom, or even a small corner of your home can be transformed into a beautiful, professional photography space.
I’m a parent of three children, so I know exactly what real family homes look like.
Toys, laundry, clutter, signs of everyday life, they’re normal. You don’t need to apologise or feel embarrassed.
Before we start, I’ll:
- Help you choose the best spot
- Move anything that needs moving
- Make sure everything looks calm and intentional in the final images
You don’t need to deep-clean your house or make it look “perfect”. A quick tidy of the area we’re using is more than enough.
Why Home Sessions Are So Popular?
Many clients choose home sessions because they are:
More relaxed - not a pressured environment, or trying to remember if you have everything.
Easier with children - Children feel more relaxed in a place are familiar with.
Private and comfortable - It's your space to help you feel confident and amazing.
Less stressful than travelling to a studio - No rushing somewhere or getting lost.
