Is now permanently closed

After 16 years in business I have taken the decision to close Wings Photography.

This hasn't been an easy decision to make as Wings is my baby.

As some of you may be aware I took a step back from this side of the business as I was looking after my Father in Law who had Alzheimer's.

He passed away a few weeks ago at the age of 72.

He spent his whole like working and had very little time to enjoy his retirement, before the illness took hold.

This has given me a massive wake up call and I've realised I cant successfully run 2 photography businesses without it having a negative effect on my life.

I want to be able to live life to the full and still work a job I love.

I would rather be successful in one business than average in two.

So I am concentrating on the other side of the business which is the brand photography. You are more than welcome to follow me over on Brand photography by Wings if you still want to know what im getting up to.

I want to say a massive thank you to all my clients for supporting me in my business over the 16 years and I wish you and your little ones all the best for the future.

If you are looking for Newborn Photography I can highly recommend Kay Oliver Newborn & Baby Photography who has a very similar style to myself.

Beautiful 9 day old Lilah was in the studio today for her newborn photos.

She was a very hungry bubba and fed quite a few times during the session. She was amazing though and slept like a dream after her feeds.

Morning everyone, Lyn here.

I just wanted to keep you all updated to what is going on here at Wings Photography.

Im sure you've seen that the page has been rather quiet lately. This is for a couple of reasons.

1) Im busy over on the other side of my business with the Brand Photography.

2) Im juggling working and looking after my Father in Law who has Alzheimer's. As some of you might be aware, we had an extension built over the studio back in August 2021 and we moved my FIL in with us.

Unfortunately his health has declined a lot faster than we anticipated so ive had to seriously reduce the amount of work I can do.

Its hard seeing someone you love turn into a shadow of themselves.

For this reason, I not running my Christmas Mini sessions this year.

When was the last time you updated your family portraits? I'm guessing maybe it was a good time ago... And what if you don't mind me asking stops you from booking a portrait session?

Could it be these words...

"I'm not photogenic"

If I had a pound for every time a client said this about themselves I would be a millionaire by now!

It's probably the first thing that most people say about themselves & is also the main reason why family photos are not usually a annual priority here in the UK. Often many families can go years before updating any family portraits at all & I'm sad to say I've even heard of some families that have never had any professional images taken.

While most of us would love to have stunning family images hanging on the wall, we often delay getting anything booked until we have had out hair done, until we've lost a few more pounds in weight until we've purchased a whole new wardrobe or perhaps until our little ones front teeth have grown back.

The truth is though, there is no better time than today! You are beautiful just how you are. Your family & friends, love you for you & who could blame them.

As a professional photographer it is my job to make you feel & look amazing in front of the camera & to deliver a stunning set of images that you are proud to display in your home. So please just trust me as your photographer. I have over 14 years experience within this profession & I love to make people feel confident & amazing at their session.

So please don't put off booking a professional portrait session for any longer. If you have any concerns or want to know more then get in contact, as I would love to help. Look forward to hearing from you & remember you're beautiful as you are & you definitely are photogenic!
